Name a successfully ran Gov't program

I have been asking my friends this, and here is what we've come up with:

1. The Military - although according to the democrats, this is a failure
2. The post office

Anything else?

FCC does a pretty good job... of all the government organizations, they seem to be on top of things. Can do almost everything through their website too.

PO is a failure. You hear how much they lost last year? $8 billion or some number like that. Yet the Postmaster managed to get a raise of $850K!!!

In all honesty, would you take a raise like that, regardless of how they company stands, and feel comfy about it?? How and why would someone need a raise in that amount? What was he making before the raise? Even if he was making $10K a year, would he really need an additional $850K??

Whats with that?

His total compensation is around 800k, but his salary is around 250k... Just an FYI...
