MY PREDICTION FOR THE NEXT DOO MOUNTAIN CHASSIS

wow, sorry bro was just playing with ya,hence the wink:face-icon-small-winall fun intended, sorry if i got under your skin:face-icon-small-hap

Naw, Dabull, no worries, was not getting under my skin, sorry that the text read like that. I was having fun too, thus being devil's advocate  to test the strength of my comments.

@Matte Murder - In the 70's my mother was a bank manager and worked her way up the chain into the ivory towers. She made an observation that we (her kids) should sock away metal so she socked it away for us and I took over when I was 19 and been doing ever since. Far as being prepared, we own a cabin on the lake, can live year round so even my better 1/2 can boot me out of the house for paying attention to clutch kit emails instead of her and then i'd just have to get a rocket stick for my laptop....to answer clutch kit emails. hahaha

Here is a question. If USA goes to war with Iran later this year Sept/Oct, will BRP release a new platform or release "more of the same good stuff"?

Narrower
Fewer parts through consolidation
Sub-400 lbs
New skid
Simplified drive train
Under seat exhaust or tunnel dump
Turbo or S/C option
Bluetooth
Beavertail II
60# suitcase
Remote start
BNG

You left out the seat warmer, cruise control (with anti collision avoidance warning system) two speed automatic tranny, and 8-track player ( they are coming back you know) :bolt:

I agree with what you said and like it all except why a 15 wide track? I have rarely heard of someone switching to a 15 wide on the summit and I work at a sled shop. I am not trying to say they wont but rather asking why would they do that? It doesnt make sense.

I think if they do a coil over suspension they will have something special.

Yes, a rear skid with more adjustability and the ability to keep the nose down better is the biggest thing the XP needs IMO. Other than that, the sled is still ahead of the others in most respects.
A whole new chassis isn't necessary (yet) but they are due for a change.
I agree on keeping the 16 wide, at least in the mountains.
Lighter is always better as long as strength isn't compromised.
The 800 e-tec as it is is the best engine overall engine out there...a little better reliability with pistons (which seems to have been addressed) and reeds (still a issue) would be nice.
Make seat height adjustable....and bar height.

Good thought about the seat. I like it

What do you do at the Sled shop ? :fish2:

All I need is a 50 lb weight reduction and move the drive shaft forward 6 inches. Not asking for much.:face-icon-small-con

x2 and make the tunnel 1/2 inch wider for more room and 1 to 1.5 inch taller over the top of the drivers for bigger tracks.

this is what i heard from a dealer here in MN they are going to raise the motor so it will have a slightly higher center of gravity and easier to lay over but this is just what i was told.....

All I have to say regarding investment is "do the opposite of what everyone is doing". In 2007 it was time to sell real estate and it is now time to sell your metal and buy real estate. Or whatever, just don't be the guy that was buying homes to flip in 07-08 and now is stocking gold!
