my new 2012 pro rmk is leaking oil under oil pump

i got a new pro at the end of february has no miles on it and I'm leaving for a trip out west next week, sled leaks a little oil looks like its coming from the oil pump area can't exactly pin point where it is coming from any suggestions? got it going to a dealer tomorrow to get it checked out.

i thought i had a problem the same as yours after about 70 miles on my new assault, took it to the dealer and they ended up finding that the oil system had no leaks, but oil from the manafacturing process it self heated up and must have dripped off my pump, every thing was fine.
your 2 stroke oil has a bit of color to it, is this oil perfectly clear?
hope yours turned out like mine, good luck

Is it coming from the VES vent line in front of the motor? They have a hose there that just dumps oil into the space under the motor unless you reroute it.

Just rerouted mine yesterday, got a 3 foot fuel line and zip tied it around the front over to the side exhaust panel. Had to clean the motor pan as it was covered in oil. Only 250 miles too.

The oil line from the tank can rub against the bulkhead just in back of the injectors and rub thru the line - there was a recall about this even for the 12's (which seems ridiculous to me since Poo knew about it by mid season last year). If the line is rubbed thru it will leak and oil will pool under the pump.

Have FUN!

Do we or can we get a sticky started for the things we should be checking on the 2012 PRO? Sorta getting out of hand!!!! I just checked my primary clutch torque bolt and it was like 50 ft lbs, way loose.

I had a buddies sled doing the same thing. Would leave little puddles of oil under the machine when sitting around. It looked like an oil line was dripping, and I ended up taking off the lower airbox. There is a 10mm oil priming bolt just under the oil pump lever that has a copper washer on it, and it was loose, thus the leakage. Kind of a pain to get at, but cured the problem. Should take about 1 hour to fix if that is it.
