Her science teacher tried to teach the class about Global Warming as if it was fact. She and her friend told him they believe its a lie. He showed a video and she ignored it and talked to her friends during it. I told her I dont support her acting up in class but she has my full permission to get in all kinds of trouble if that happens again. btw she is a 4.0 student. I told her I would pay her $20 to wear my "global warming is a lie" Tshirt in class tomorrow.

Youre not kidding, The sad thing is that the biggest problem with Global Warming lie is that no one ever hears about those of us who say its a lie, people just accept it as science, and thats part of their plan. When people such as these students in this class hear the opposing side it forces them to think and make up there own mind about it. And when they walk outside the school and step in the 12 inches of snow on the lawn I believe they realize the truth.

Im feeling rather argumentative today so I feel like i should point out the fact that the Earth is getting warmer on average than the recent past, and thats just a fact. HOW or WHY it is warming is completely arguable. People or Nature? Yet to be solidly proven.
Also as freshmen in college I agree that you should never take the teacher word as the word of god. Everyone has their opinion.

As a former teacher, I would love to have had your daughter in class. I taught High School Social Studies and it was always my goal to get students to think for themselves. I always wanted my students to question and then go find out the facts for themselves. I applaud your daughter standing up and questioning what her teacher was saying. Kudos to you.

I take offense to that for one reason, I drive a subaru that is all rusted out that i bought for $475 bucks

Al Gore and all the tree huggers can jump off a cliff as far as Im concerned. Just go ask the oldest person you know they'll tell about years of warm and drought and years of cool and wet. Makes my blood boil everytime i see the save the polar bear commercial. As a science teacher I would NEVER have presented a theory as fact. NEVER. We had global warming debates in my room all the time...and it always centered around making your own conclusions based on the facts presented to you. You present the argument that both sides would take, you talk about what is fact and what is opinion (theory) and you make your own conclusions based soley on the fact.

Most ppl on this forum know I'm am a retired college electronics instructor. Yup, I was born near the start of WWII, and raised in the 1940's and 50's.
I rmb'r our teachers in K-12 school would react to a political question buy trying to explain all points of view, and wouldn't admit to which way their thinking was leaning.
We were told to "make up our own minds."
When I was a college student, and taking teacher education courses, we were told to never interject our own opinion into the classroom.
Somewhere in the late 1960's , 70's and beyond, something changed with the boomer generation hippies. (I'm older than they.
) Where we got this Marxist, socialist BS, global warming crap in the schools.It's wrong. period. But unfortunately too many young people are being brain washed by this crap.
I don't know what the answer is. I have grand kids from age 13 to 22. It concerns me when I hear them bring up this leftist agenda, and they can't explain why they have that opinion, other than thats what they were taught.

exactly, it should be taught just as evolution is in class....
I am a 9th grd school teacher Freak(really) and i'll add $10 to the pot because it's funny. Just make sure she is respectful and polite. It already sounds like she is!
