My BD Pro Cold Air Intake Part 2

It sure will, just now that those of you who bought the system early on have tested and found this out for BD, you also get the joy of spending more to finally have that reliable system...

Whats the cost up to now for a BD to run on 6-8lbs??

LOL, it seems you are persistant on slamming BD and taking these threads off topic. Do you not have anything better to do? Where were you the day your mom taught you "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" Enough of the BD slams, it's really getting old. Why are you having such a difficult time excepting the fact that there are thousands of guys running BD kits and happy as a bug in a rug. A lot of them living in the west where we get a ton more mountain riding than you will ever get. We ride 3 or 4 days a week and can leave from our houses. Most of us have forgotten more about tuning sled than you will ever know so stop the vary limited knowledge slams. Your looking like a fool. I think you've made it apparent you don't like BD kits, OK, but opinions vary and it's getting to the point that your costing Silbers customers. Seriously dude, if I were Justin I would find a way to shut you up before you cost him his business. If his business plan is to become number one by tearing the other builders down it's going to fail. It's not your responsiblity to protect guys who ride a lot more than you do from buying a BD kit. If BD kits are as bad as you say they are, and if Silber's are as good as you say they are time will fix the problem, you don't need to. In time we will all become as smart as you are...please give it a rest.

I'm not loyal to any kit builder, but I have not had problems with the BD kit I am running nor have any of the guys I ride with and most of us have close to if not over 2000 miles on our Pro's. I have not seen many Silber kits in the mountains this year but the few I have seen seemed to work good, but they certainly had nothing over the BD kit pound for pound.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday who happens to be the 2nd largest Polaris dealer in the world. They have seen just as many problem with stock sleds going through reeds, pistons, intermittant cut out's, etc., as they have turboed sled. Most of the problems you are trying to pin on BD are probably more factory related than turbo kit related. Pretty lame to try to compare a builder who sells thousands of kits to a builder who has probably sold less than one hundred.

You nailed right here!
Does "Fruitzy" even have a Turbo pro? If so how many times has he ridden out west?
If You flatlanders ( Hobbes, woodsy etc) would come to the mountains more then a couple of times a year, you'd see plenty of good running BD turbo's.

I think there are just a couple of flatlander fu(ktards that are jealous they can't ride every weekend and r&d there stuff like Boondockers can.

I think its apparent to everyone reading this thread that the issue isn't BD as a turbo builder(they are one of the best), but rather how the BD turbo kits are running on the PROs. For some people they appear to have been great no problems, for others there have been some issues (note I am a BD PRO owner).
My personal opinion is that this topic has reached this level of "noise" because from the beginning there seems to have been this facade or denial that some of the kits were not having issues when in fact some were. That IS!!!! The whole reason the 3D programing was introduced wasn't it??? So I think when people get on here and try to tell others that they can't possibly be seeing what they are seeing, people begin to throw down.
There is this fuzzy math (statistics) issue where because 1 guy or several guys in one group don't have an issue, there must not be an issue. Or in reverse, that because one kit has a problem the others must too. The truth probably lies somewhere in between.

HANDFULLTHROTTLE you mentioned that the way people are responding makes other kits builders look badly (I have to agree, its beginning to do just that) but have you and TRUE BLOOD considered that your responses do the same for thing for BD??? Because it is doing that too!

Can't argue with that, but....

If his business plan is to become number one by tearing the other builders down it's going to fail.

Seriously? Did you even read the first part of this thread? Where Junior from BD replyed?

...

Just to clear the air here. My original problem was with the way BD customers were being treated along with the "High and Mighty" attitude Junior showed while his kits weren't even running. Yes I do run a different kit, but that isn't why I posted. All I was saying is that if you are going to claim to be the smartest turbo builder in the world maybe make sure your product backs up your claims. I really don't have an issue with BD either... I run a BD kit on my Apex actually. I only think that BD Pro Turbo Kit buyers were taken advantage of this year and was hoping that Junior would step up and answer some of their questions and get to the bottom of their problems. Is that so hard to take? BTW, thanks Junior for doing just that.

As for me being a no tuning fu(ktard from the flatlands... I guess you really got me there. Maybe we should all get together and ride so you guys can teach me a few things... :face-icon-small-dis

For what it's worth I'd like to apologize to dmkhnr for taking his thread in a bad direction. That was not my intent.

WOW

Seriously hope you got everything off your chest in this post, seems like you have alot of frustration built up. Like BC said and a couple others on here you are starting to do just what you are describing, making a builder look bad by ignorant posts. Some people have problems, some dont, they post questions and deserve answers. Thats where these posts have been leading the whole time. Junior answered many of the questions, its now middle of May and no release date or price that we know aboiut. I personally am giving up for this year. Just an fyi BD sold knowhere near a thousand kits this year for the PRO...
