My BD Pro Cold Air Intake Part 2

Junior,

I dont think I missed it in my readings but do you know approx. when production will be on these bad boys?

Junior, how do you get in on the feebee? Is it only for current pro bd owners, or can anybody have a crack at it?

From what I get you can run pg with the timing module with or without the intercooler up to 12 lbs at elevation.

Well that answerd pretty much all my questions. Looks like I will just have to wait and see on the price for the guys that have the BD kit already.

The price should be zero. I think boondocker builds decent stuff but it drives me nuts that every year they rely on their customers to do there r&d. It was no different last year with the changes they made to their cat systems and the ebc. It didn't work the way it was supposed to nor did it get delivered on time. They release things to early that dont work as advertised, it takes all season to get enough people with enough miles to get all the bugs out, then they charge everyone that has already spend 5+ grand more money to "upgrade". Thanks but no thanks

Bashing has been apparent on all sides from all brands on this forum from all cheerleader groups.

NO need for this...

The review that was posted comparing two different mfgs. by DCturbo was one of the best bash free comparisons I've seen...
Use that that one as an example of how to get your point across in a civil manner.

Everybody needs to take it down a notch .... EVERYONE... and enjoy life a bit more.

True PG kit running prob. 7-8psi above 8k, is there finally a true PG kit for the BD? I know silber runs fully on PG, BD on the other hand requires RG and reeds every tank just to be safe... what can you SAFELY run on a BD turbo?

I know of MANY BD kits running straight pump at 7-8lbs. I run 9-10lbs with 3-4gallons of race....but we have the darn Ethanol in our fuel out here so I think that is part of the reason. With our Ethanol fuel I cant run over 7lbs on straight pump.

Will the 4 injector set up on the BD kits help with the reed issues?

Absolutely, the injected fuel will not only cool the charge, it will also lube the reeds.
Just turning on the 3rd injector will eliminate the reed problems as-well.

How many CAN run 7-8 pounds on STRAIGHT 91 below 6k feet?
Shane has a couple of gallons of c-12 in Skadi' PG set up.

Those Pros go into det lock pretty easily, right?

It sure will, just now that those of you who bought the system early on have tested and found this out for BD, you also get the joy of spending more to finally have that reliable system...

Whats the cost up to now for a BD to run on 6-8lbs??

I personally ride 7000ft and up....so not sure. But I know guys in McCall are running pump on 7lbs and they are at 6000ft. However, for what it is worth, the whole pump gas thing doesn't really concern me because I like running more boost, so I already understand I will be mixing fuel. If I only wanted to run pump I would just run a single pipe on a stock motor.....they run pretty good that way. Now if we could run 12-13lbs on pump that would be awesome!!!!

Brave man running that ethanol crap haha, but what ya gonna do...

Understandable it is great to be able to run more power by just adding some happy fuel to the tank, but there are places and times it is hard to get ahold of it. Some people like the ease of not having to drag drums of gas with them to ride, would be nice to hear the what you can actually run for boost at what elevation on straight 91.

not to distract from the topic, but my group all runs straight race. We have some 12 gallon barells that are perfect. I believe they are a commercial detergent container. They are clear. We carry one for everyday we are going to ride. We mix the oil right into those barrels too. It works really slick. Easy to transport and fill.

I know the race gas has saved my azz a few times. Plus the fun factor is ridiculous. I personally wouldnt do it any other way. Like Anthony said, if I wanted to run pump, I would ride something closer to stock.
