My all time BEST climb

MAN...YOU GUYS ARE SOOO SENSITIVE. Its OK!!! Theres gonna be a few sleds on a hill from time to time.

Not sensitive or even worried about avy...just like to enjoy riding on a slope without having to worry about turning out into somebody. Or losing my sled and having it runout and slam into someone parked in the exact wrong spot.

Just looks like a clusterF...and rarely if ever see that happen no matter how large our group is.

the first pull was nice but like others have said the decent was better! ;) :beer;

I was thinking the same thing but ya know...sometimes the snow is so set up and secure to the base you can get away with it.

It's like not paying a parking meter I guess? If your not caught good, but you pay the price if you are!

Or maybe like taking the mints from those charity honor system boxes. You can take the mints and get away with it; but is it right???

Not slamming you, I get the same way in spring conditions. But with all of these deaths we all have to start treating every snow covered slope as a slope that can slide.

any of you guys want to play guide next winter for that area? i want to go, and i may try that one outlined in red up through the crack. bring on the boost!

NICE pull! It looks like it would be impossible to navigate down without some real deep pow to slow your dessent.

BTW, Love the yellow squiggly loop lines. That must indicated rolling eh?:D

It WAS impossible coming down. About 25-30 seconds going up, and about hour to come down...LOL I had to come down to cut a couple of small trees so I could TRY to get a straight shot through.

I think I may have made the decent, but I put ski brakes on (bad idea), there was a bit of a drop through the trees(where the yellow lines start) the belt dug in and jover my back end came......next time I'll try WITHOUT skis brakes.....it was just so dam SCARY up there!!!!!LOL

This is the exact attidude that gets multiple people killed! Sorry but it's true.!!:(
Seems to be a Canadian thing!! You guys gave lost a lot of people this year!!!

One other thing. Why don't people spend as much time figuring the line down as up???:confused:

Because it doesnt matter if you make it down, just gotta get up it! But serisously, I always try to make sure i can get down first. oh well, looked like down might be an option in better snow.

What did you pull this thing with, the 900 turbo?

Believe me, I knew getting down would be a problem, but thought I could make it work. I don't usually make a climb if there is NO way down, but this line had been calling me for a long time. It was a lot steeper up at top, and again, I think the ski brakes hindered me.

I really want to pull a cool line, one that no one(as far as I know) has ever climbed out of. My area is small and there aren't alot of lines that have been taken.

Damage was minor....like I said, broken tach, choke, and key. It was worth it.

I think if I do it again I'll do 2 things...1) Get it on film!!!! LOL 2) Bring about 200' of rope so I can lower my sled just below the first set of trees coming down!! LOL

Chances are I won't do it again......

Oh, and had to take a few good test runs for yamafest next weekend!!! LOL:beer;

nice pull. that dogleg in the middle looks like it would really take your momentum away

Dooin' it I spend every weekend in butte if you come and and play some BP with me I could prob play tour guide for ya, and I bring a camera everytime I ride so I'll be able to get that climb on film for ya!

Nice pull Allen, I was there the day of the first attempt. first day out with my turbo rx-1 and buddy rolled it for me. snow was hard pack and not great, and before we knew it Al was on his way up. I believe he made it to the last set of trees just before the top when he came back down(the sled came back down anyways) he was up top with a screwed up knee. good thing it was only 10 or so minutes to the truck.

I've been up the chutes to the left of tigre, great little pulls and a lot of fun.

no more sled Mike. sold everything I had. too many avy's, wife couldn't handle me not coming back. my choice to sell, but I'll take a year or 2 off and see how cheap (and if i can convince her again that I won't get caught in an avy) I can pick up another turbo sled. see a mcx apex down in montana for around 8000 that I am sooooo tempted to pick up.lol
