with the stock non-adjustable shocks and the timbersled skid it was 16 inches to the top of the bumper in front, with the Evols it is 19 inches.
With skis on the ground after compressing the front and letting it come back up the shocks measure 16.5 inches eye to eye with the Evols installed. I didn't measure the stock ones to see how much they sagged.
Were the EVOL shocks conversions of standard floats before the conversion?
Were those shocks made for an IQ RMK?f
Fully extended, do the shocks measure 17.25 eye-center to eye-center?
The Evols were not converted. The stock non-adjustable shocks just sag way to much. I measured against Kreg's sled and my sled still sits 1 inch lower than his in the front with the new shocks.
When I tried to set up my Timbersled Skid to their specs with the stock shocks on it there was so little pressure on the front shocks that the sled flipped over every time you turned it. I had to remove the top spacer to put more pressure on the skis to make it ride able.
You can kind of see how low the suspension is sitting on my red sled in the background with the stock shocks and the timbersled rear.
Just sent my primary to IndyDan. Having custom cooler built so I can get the temps down where they belong. Looks like I will be riding the T975 and the Back up sled for a couple weeks. Will post pictures of the new cooler once I get it.
