muffpot or hotdogger???

CLICK ME
I just ordered one. I am probably going to mount it on my can.

What are you guys talking about with the oven bags? I have no clue what that is? I am just getting it so i can throw some smokies or hot dogs in there. There isn’t really any clean up form that is there? I am going to mount mine sideways. Is this possible? Anyone done this? Anyone ever break it? I am very hard on my sled and knowing that the sled is going to get the hell beat out of it, will they come off or break?

Hi there I_OWN_U,
The oven bags are plastic type bags that do not melt. They keep your muff pot clean. I bought mine at Safeway they have one size that fits a turkey inside but I buy the medium bags that come in four to a package. They are the best no mess to clean up and no tin foil to pick off your food.
You can mount on any angle as the oven detaches from your pipe to open.
As far as breaking I don't think that is possible they are well built.
Good Luck I can promise you will enjoy it.

Cheers,
Dave

I don't wrap or bag anything. Granted, I only do hot pockets, mini corndogs, egg rolls and chicken nuggets. When I get home I hand wash it and it's good as new. Don't try this with the hotdogger unless you like your food black.

To add to smokindave's post.....Reynolds Oven bags, in the grocery section with the rest of the aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. :) I use those for anything that might get greasy. Burritos or other items like that, I wrap in Parchment Paper.

Check out FOXYRMKS SnackPackers, do not have a link to her website, but rode with her in Revy and it keep your Pot clean.Cheer Red Dog.:D

Has anyone run a muffpot or hotdogger on a sled with a mesh hood? I have a Diamond S mesh hood on my Poo Edge and wondered how much longer it takes to warm up the food.

There are a lot of variables on long it takes to heat up your food. Thawed vs frozen and how hard you are riding makes a huge difference. Even with a mesh hood, if you are riding hard and in the throttle your food will cook pretty quick!

Gonna try some egg rolls this weekend....with Costco's Thai sweet red chili sauce on the side!!. MMMMMMMMMMM

Muffpot on twin pipes....approx. 6" from the exhaust ports

I have a Hotdogger on my 00 RMK and a Muffpot on my 07 RMK. The Hotdogger is aluminum and leave a black residue on everything. It also just snaps in place and can fall out while riding hard. The Muffpot is much better! It is Stainless Steel and clamps in place. Using oven bags for your food really helps also!

What he said ^

I've always had a hard time keeping the muff pot to stay in place with C-clamps because of the expansion properties when it gets hot. Now I only use T-bolt clamps. Never had one come loose yet. :beer;

I used the muff pot last few years down by the y-pipe but my food kept getting overheated, this year I'm trying out the The Hot Pot and have moved over to the other side of the pipe, much better. Yes I sell the snackerpackers, it's a mini oven bag that fits the pots.

Your lucky that I didn't save the picture of the spaghetti and meatballs and bread. That was good while up there in Revy!

which one??

can't remember which one a buddy had a few years ago, but had a hose clamp type deal to secure it to the pipe, must have been to tight and broke, pizza pops everywhere... but when it stayed on, mmm, made for a nice change having some warm chow up there..

i have a muff pot on o7 rev close to the y pipe on the stock pipe, the heat shield on the stock pipe keeps it from getting too hot. i can put hot pockets and frozen burritos in it still in the original plastic wrapper. after a whole day of riding they are warm, not too hot and does not melt the plastic wrapper. i would like it to get a little warmer though. a friend kept having his clamp break and the pot fall off so he welded the mount to part of the exaust and his was nuclear powered after that. it could destroy food if you didnt time it just right.
