Not sure if this has been discussed or not but, I'm curious as to where you guys have been mounting muff pots on your sleds. Would it be easier with an aftermarket can??
Chris
Glad to be apart of the Polaris crew!

mounted mine between the pipe and silencer. I forget who now, but someone on snow west made a bracket that you hose clamp to the pipe first. I bought one and it works fantastic.

Ya if you run the stock can, run Woodsrider's spacer, but with an aftermarket can, you can just mount it directly on the pipe due to the profile change. And if you are wondering if your food will cook faster without the spacer, let me tell you there is little to no change with the spacer. Trust me I know lol. Still takes about 3 hours of riding hard to get your food cooked either way. I just stick my hot pocket in the muffpot before I take off and get it out at lunch time and its good.

I was wanting to know the same thing........Thanks Chris for bringing it up. That aluminum bracket whats his name(woodsrider) has for sale looks like it should work well.

I agreed with die hard poo if you are running a after market can you do not need my mount, you can mount right to the inlet of the can. Mount was developed so that I could retain my four year warranty (stock can) and not damage the cover on the stock pipe. The shield which mounts under the base of muffpot cuts cooking time to around 2 hours for a single burrito.

Somebody get a photo up of Woodsriders mount;). I'm getting hungry just reading this thread!

I just mounted mine exactly as shown in the photo with the stock can. Works fantastic. Had it in to the dealer numerous times (unfortunately) for warranty work and they never said one thing about it affecting the warranty. It seems like it would be tight and unaccessable, but it is just fine.

The area shown in sled solutions post will work but it is tapered which makes it difficult to keep the hose clamp tight it very likely that your stock heat shield will suffer cosmetic damage.

I just tried to pay with pay pal they wanted $20 plus $5 shipping and handling. I thought the total was to be $20.00. In the end I cancel purchase:face-icon-small-sad

Muffpot mount price

8emup sorry you had trouble. I not sure why the total price was coming to 25.00. You are the second person that this has happened to therefor I am going to delete the ad. My price is 15.00 for mount and shield and 5.00 for shipping anywhere in the USA. Shipping cost to Canada is more around 12.00. More than 1 mount and shield will fit in box with no change in shipping price.

I use the small USPS flat rate box (5.20) looks like it is 11.95 for international flat rate box. Looks like your price would be 27.00. More than 1 mount and shield will fit in box with no change in shipping price.
