I guess I can get this thread going because I finally have good news to report.:face-icon-small-hap:eek: It's snowing hard in Mt. Shasta City 3500' as of 11:00 a.m. on 11/20.

Hopefully the start of a great season.

Will do.

We're not getting as much as was forecast (shocking) at 3500' but I'll have a better idea tomorrow about the amount up high.

it was snow and rain off and on in weed with very little actually sticking. hopefully this year pans out and we don't get the two month warm streak that we had last year.

Weed...... We used to play you guys in football in high school (Modoc). Good times, I will look forward to your snow posts 9T. Since I am a flatlander down here in sac now.

Disappointing  2" total in town and websites look like about 6-8" around 6-7,000'. Looks like I'm still golfing and mtn. biking for a few more days.

I graduated in 79, but my mom was still superintendent of schools until a couple years ago up there. Ya, I'm old...... but us old guys still like to have fun too!! (just takes us a lil longer to catch up).

I have never been sledding up there T. I was kinda on the sand side of our business, did not even own a sled until 05, my partner Richie took care of all the sled stuff for quite a while. I used to love skiing, then spent many years with my head in the clouds racing cars, but I didn't figure out how cool this sport is until a few years ago. arcticridr..... you gotta be ****tin me man? I moved up there my senior year, so you must have been gone already?, or I would already know you. We gotta hook up and go have some fun sometime this winter bud.

Man. I know Richie S. finally puttin it all together now!!! Mind goes before the body right!!! haha Let me know when ya want to head this way usually have extra room at my place and I have an in on snow conditions since I also do all the grooming in Lassen (ashpan) pretty much live their all winter!! Actually went for a road riode today 35 miles anywhere from 8-16" so road ridin is better than no ridin at this point!!!!! I will pm ya my Cell number!!! Later Wes

Your hoping too much down there. Sledin doesn't get good until Feb. I pray for you though. I am looking forward to ash creek this year and some of those out of the way places no one talks about.
Keep up your snow dance as I would like to ride earlier this year.

However I do love the springtime sledding down there. Oh the beauty of sun, warmth and good snow. oh and that darn mountain you have there too is quite a site also.

anybody gone for a ride yet? i was up at the ski park today, and it looks like we have about 8" to a foot, and it was still snowing pretty good when we left today. I was maybe thinking about a road ride out at deer mountain tomorrow???

Thanks for the update. I did nothing in Mt. Shasta City today, but they had chain control over 89 so it must be snowing good up high. I'll road ride next weekend 9t so let's keep in touch.

ya, i was thinking deer mountain, when i was up there cutting wood last weekend, it had a pretty bullet proof base on the road, i just don't want to get to anxious and wreck my sled this early in the season

My riding buddy Phil, called me last weekend and he surprised how much snow was in the Deer Mtn area. Looks like storms all week.:D

I would love to get back there again this year with better snow. That area is awesome.
