MOTOTRAX SKI

Ski saddle.
Do to much flexing and bending , Randy riveted his to a flat steel plate, I bent the edges of mine and welded it.
The combination of the ski runners off center and flexing in the saddle made the ski want to wander.
They also found out the silicon based rubber damper was to soft Mototrax do have a new rubber based damper
The billet saddle I got free from them makes a difference.(I think it was because I showed him a couple of other fixes)
My dogs like treats too''

Ever consider making a limiter strap for the ski so that it's downward tilt is controlled? Maybe even a stretchy one. That's what the rubber is attempting to control but maybe it's too much leverage on the rubber. The rubber is borrowed tech from sleds but maybe they aren't quite as reliant on that angle for handling.

I think you left before I got a chance to tell you. but, my ski was twice as stable as before. We got into some good power west of the 2nd avalanche. I even rode with no hands on a downhill slope. no way I could've done that before. Tightening the rubber snubber was a game changer. I even got stuck once because I expected the ski to plow and it hooked up and turned too sharp uphill and the track slid out like a powerslide. I still think I'll get a yeti or timbersled ski.

I was thinking of the limiter strap idea too. It makes such a big difference on the bikes i wanted some easy quick way to adjust. I was thinking nylon dog leash style with adjustment buckles. I will try front and back. I like slight tip up to keep the front of the carbide up from darting on ice and i don't want to tip up to much in pow cause it plows instead of floating.

That's an interesting idea, I will try something the next ride. Controlling the ski dip seems to be a major factor it handling and steerability.
