MotoTrax Q&A

Forecast is starting to have snow in it and don't want to be without it when I happens.

Just got a tracking number for my fit kit.

Fit kits are shipping today. Kits that went out before fit kits were ready should have had a flyer in them with an explanation for why the fit kit was shipping a little later...It sounds like that flyer wasn't added to some of the packages that went out, and I'm sorry for that!

It sounds like more people didn't get the flyer...I am really sorry about all this, we are working out some of our kinks so we can provide our awesome customers with the best experience possible. I know its been a bit bumpy so far, but bear with us. Because of the excellent support we get from our customer base, we get the opportunity to get more efficient every day!

Got my fit kit and tried installing again. Can someone tell me how long the strut is for a 2016 500 XC-W is?

Mine is way to short.

I'm in same boat if you follow instructions and have very little thread showing it is short. I added about an inch to length by threading out eyelet so it looks correct. Going to measure it and find out if I am in spec if not they are sending me a new strut. Not an emergency yet?

I tried to install the strut with 3 threads showing per the instruction video. the airbox would not allow it. The minimum thread showing after assembly is about 3/4" below the backer nut on my bike. I just don't know if that is the proper stance or attitude of the snowbike. It would be nice if there was a little guidance there. I also wish the strut rod was threaded on both sides with one side a reverse thread and two backer nuts so that adjusting the rear height would be simple.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the kit and can't wait to get it out on the snow.

Worst experience ever with this kit.

I have had this Moto Trax kit for 1 month now and still can't ride it because of faulty parts wrong parts and parts missing when shipped.

All has been taken care of and kit seems to work well after 2 short rides.

MotoTrax question: Do you anticipate having extra kits available this year after you get the snow check orders delivered? I would like to demo one and add to or replace my current kit. Also is your front plastic snow shield available?
Thank you!

Also, We are aware that there isn't a detailed explanation in our installation manual on how your kit is supposed to be set up for optimal ride performance, and that is something we are actively working to improve. We want to make sure your kit is set up properly, so we shot an instructional video on the essentials for properly setting up your MotoTrax kit. This video will be up on our YouTube channel tomorrow and I will also post a thread with the link. Search MotoTrax, click on our channel, then go to the videos tab.

If you received a fit kit that doesn't fit perfectly, we ask that you understand that we haven't been able to measure every year, make, and model available yet. We have measured most bikes and done extensive research to try and make sure our fit kits are right, but until we get our hands on every bike out there and measure them there might be some off parts. We appreciate everyone's willingness to work with us on this. If you end up with an off part please contact us directly, and we will get the right components to you immediately.

We have may avenues in which we can be contacted, please take advantage all of these avenues. We are very busy this time of year and we are a small business, each of our employees wear multiple hats, we are often in and out of cell coverage, or away from the office.

Hey! I see that you're located in Lewiston. Once we get good snow on the ground we'd be more then happy to take you on a demo ride, being as you are so close! We will also have a demo fleet running all season long!

I live in Moscow and work in Lewiston. Drive by your shop every day and I see you guys have been putting in a lot of hours! Looking forward to a ride comparison!:face-icon-small-coo

Update

I have had this Moto Trax kit for 1 month now and still can't ride it because of faulty parts wrong parts and parts missing when shipped. I have lost all confidence in this kit and company at this point. And am probably taking it back to the dealer. Worst experience ever.

So after all the issues that I have had Moto Trax has promptly dealt with everything. Thank you, Zak and Randy. So I only need a gasket for my Tuf Jug since it did not come with one, this is in no way Moto Trax fault.
First 2 short rides have been good definitely a different ride feel for sure. I am going to be out with a couple Timbersled guys this coming weekend and give a better ride report after some comparison testing.

Track keeps coming off

So for some reason my track keeps coming off. I had a heck of a time getting off the mountain. I have tightened the track just like it shows in the video and it seems fine but it keeps coming off. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I want to thank MotoTrax for their quick response to various issues with fitting the kits and the idler wheel spacing. My kit is together and now I'm praying for more snow and less rain. I can't wait to try it out!
