most common xp complaint

Lets make this a constructive thread (is that possible?!!lol)
After a nearly a full season what has everyone settled on for mods ie:

Jetting
Clutching
Gearing
Alignment (how was it done?)

etc...
Everyone chip in with some useful info.

Cluthing and track. get rid of those holes. With these 2 mods I love my sled. At 310 lbs I can run with the 180lb guys is my group. I put my brother on it and it makes throttles the rest of the sleds in the group.

09 800 154 clutches running way hot dealer sayes not heard of that proplem for 09 cheack to see if chain is to tight

put a EPR yellow spring in your secondary, seems to be the fix

great sled , my 09 at least. I worry about being too hard on it, bending something, this time of year catching air and a hard landing. that my concern,fear.

Air box mod and carb kit from h20 motorsports , This kit got rid of all the bog and made the throttle response alot snappier.
Powder pro skis Huge handling improvement

If you want your sled to run great all the time ,give Dale at h20 a call hes has the xp's dialed in.

air intake

My biggest complaint is the air intake. We are snowed in at Bear Lodge with about 4 ft of fresh pow and I cant get enough air to the motor. I was riding with a nitro and a polaris and they were making the Skidoo look bad.

I was riding in three feet of fresh snow yesterday and I have no problems with air intake?

What does the air box mod entail? is it somthing like the SLP?
Also the carb kit just jetting down? Care to Elaborate?

The Air box kit installs 4 tpi foam vents into the box one up top 2 on the back and one on the side and then the carb kit comes with shims for your needles so you dont get a lean spot with all the extra air.
I rode a stocker last weekend and couldnt belive how much the air box kit actually helped ,The stocker was alwys plugging up in the deep pow and amost dieing where mine with the kit never once bogged and stayed crisp the hole time . All and all i would say the air box and carb kit is worth everypenny.

I found clutching was the big thing, stuck arms in the primary, not backshifting properly, etc.

Put the Gill vents on, huge difference in clutch temps and they look cool.
