More Thoughts and Prayers Needed- Bad Accident

Great News!
Talked to Kevan tonight, during this mornings wash and evaluation the doctors wer supposed to start his skin grafts, the doctors were surprised to see much new skin growth and cancelled all grafts, and are very optomistic that they won't be needed!! Very great news for third degree burns!
Kevan is in good spirits, hurting tho, and VERY appreciative of all the well wishes and words of support...........
You all are helping a young man have faith, strentgh and determination!!

Kevin, dad-gumm-it... I know you'll get well... I will see you soon. Can't waint for Afton! I garuntee me and Slim will be the first to hit the Wyoming shots with ya. I'd wish ya well, but I know you will do well. I bet you'll be even pretty-r. lol... Hope your holding up well and in great spirits. Work the hell out of that L&I when your all healed up. You can ride all year and let your company pay the bill.

Like Slim I spoke with Kevan yesturday and I am so glad that they cancelled the skin grafts. He is one tough S.O.B. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to have them clean his burns. He is sounding optomistic about making it to Afton as well so that will be great to have him on the trip. This is a truely a great forum and I am very proud as well to be a part of it. You all are helping him get through this with your kind words. Tom H.

Terrific news from Kevan last night. Sounds like because they cancelled all skin grafts that he is going to be able to come home today. I am so happy for him that things are going better then planned. Just thought I would pass on the news to everyone. Tom H.

Hello Everybody. I would like to thank the whole snowest family again.
I did get to come home today ,but not before I had a very nice guest show up to the burn unit today. Phatty came and seen me today. For those of u that do not know him, he is one of the coolest and nicest people u will ever meet. Thanks Phatty, for coming to the burn unit and all the movies u hooked me up with. They will make the next couple of weeks go by a little easier.
I would also like to tell u guys that im doing pretty good and that im very lucky to get out of this with the burns i did get. There is still a very small chance of skin grafts for the hand. Will find out in the next few weeks. As far as my face ,the docs say it should heal really well. It's not over yet though, thanks for everything so far my snowest family. Everybody be careful out there. It all happens when u least exspect it to. Kevan

Hey Kev! Sorry to hear about this man. I have been hiding and not checking the forum for a week or two and was very saddened to hear this. I am happy to hear that you got to come home a few weeks early! I really hope you can make it to Afton whether you ride or not.

Out of touch for the past few days and had to get this horrific news clear from Norway!
Just spoke with Kev and he is now home. He is in a lot of pain but sounded to be in pretty decent spirits all considering. It's already been reported but the good news is that he is doing much better then was expected. He is in the care of his parents and I know he will recover strong and do great! He's one damn tough tequilla snorting Wyoming Cowboy.
I will tell you that it was very touching for him to get that visit from Geoff Dyer (PHATTY). Just amazing that Phatty would take it upon himself to go see Kevan at the burn center and lift him up. Class move and I can't tell you how much that meant to him! All of his friends owe you a great deal of thanks for that visit.
