Monday, Jan 16, 2012 Waddya get?

The Butte and Aspen areas got hit the hardest..

18" on Schofield Pass so pry 2 feet + where it loaded up. Have not heard from Irwin but is has to have gotten the same.

The w elks are supposed to get another round starting tonight so this is looking good for that area.

Finally, The Grand Mesa received a solid 12" of perfect Colorado Champagne Powder in the lot yesterday. Looks like it could start snowing again any minute. Sholuld have 2-3 feet in the backcountry. Photo's to follow later today!

So, after checking several Snotel sites in my area, it looks like 10-12" was pretty common. Buff was the loser in this storm with 3"

Rabbit Ears site got 11"
Columbine site got 6"

Elliots Ridge got 10" and that site is in a horrible spot. Protected from wind but also in the trees so protected from real snowfall.

Buffalo Park also lost with 3"

Lynx Pass on the Gore got 2"

Kremmling got a dusting and -20 temps this morning.

wolf creek 18" new and still snowing...............

was pretty good yesterday !:face-icon-small-coo

Oddly enough even the forcast says sunny We have more snow on the ground since 8 am than we have had all year .I wanna be a weatherman!

Yesterday when they predicted snow no accumulation was expected. just a flurry

Not bad, good coverage from Avalanche. Allot of trees down on the trails thought. Need this to set up good for some more dumps. Pushed slabs going downhill on 20 degree slopes. Avi danger is going to be through the roof. High winds last few days also.

Yeah Elliot Ridge never gets snow. Sucks up there most of the time.
