MCX 270 under boosting

Hi, I, and two other people I ride with have new 2010 Nytros with MCX 270 kits installed different dealers and are having the same problems. At 2200ft I'm seeing 15lbs boost and then in Revy still only seeing 15lbs of boost. I thought that the new MCX kits were supposed to self adjust and compensate for the change in altitude. The dealer tells me that I should see 18-19lbs at that elevation. I am also about 6-800 rpm short using the clutching that came with the set up. Any help or input would be great thanks.

Mine works just fine. Revy loading area is very low, it wont adjust until you are up top. Could also be your gauge.

Ha Ha, ya no we made it to the top,(parking lot gets boring in a hurry) still the same 15lbs up there. I believe it could be one guage but all 3?? Just talked to another gut riding in Valemount on another 2010 270 and his only makes 15lbs at Allen Creek(up top), also a good 800 rpm low.

Buy a manual boost controller. Once you get your boost up another 3-4psi, your rpm's will probably be spot on.

So can I just replace the electronic compensator with a manual boost controler? Is it that simple, what happens to the wires that run to it??

Wierd, the auto boost compensators have all worked fine for us. Had some a couple of years ago that were backwards (crossed wires), but otherwise ok. Check the wiring connector at the controller in case there is a loose wire. Just rode one that was set at 17 @ 2000' then ran about 19 @ 6-7000. rpm was 8650 everywhere. It's a good system but some guys like manual control.

Had Mine in Revy bout a month ago. Ran 17 lbs all day 1st day. Second day was 14/15lbs. Which makes a big difference when clutched for 17. Two clicks on Manual boost Controller and was running great the rest of the afternoon. In evening started over boosting and two clicks back and back to normal again.

Atmospheric pressure changes. You have the controller in place of the TCV, right? Mine works exactly the same, my son uses the TCV instead.
