McCall Snow

A few inches of fresh today up by goose lake. Rode up there to get a Christmas tree.

Heard a few more towards burgdorf. Heading that way tomorrow to burn a tank of gas.

It's time for a real storm.

word. sick of looking at this brand sled in the garage with .1 miles on it.

Put a jack under it and vrrummm vrummm it, makes me feel alot better as I look at bare hill sides...

I see some chance of snow in the next 7 days and before Christmas so let's hope they bring plenty of powder!!

Is there going to be enough snow from these chances there talking about in the forecast for riding on Friday,I sure hope so!

That would depend on your requirements for riding. They are only predicting a max of 4" above 7000'.

For what it's worth, here's a photo from yesterdays Brundage area ride. The riding could be worse for sure. I was off the trail most of the ride. One obviously just needs to pay attention to not hitting things. The good news is with what snow we have it is set up enough that the skis only sink in about 5 or 6 inches as you can see in the photo. You can see where the bad things are and you just need to miss them. I've been having a good time with about 100 miles (most of which off trail) and no damage. Not saying damage is not lurking out there, but with no snow in the forecast for a while I'm going to keep riding and take my chances. To each his own :face-icon-small-win

You are brave, I have seen that country in the summer, lol. Scary to see it with no snow. The worst, other than rocks, is that most of it is logged, so there are cut off stumps everywhere are various heights. Some of them look, like tiny humps with just the right amount of snow.
Of course, I am just bitter from recent ankle surgery and no cylinders for my sled. :)
Be careful if you guys go for sure!

Just starting up grooming

Hi folks, we made a test run last night from Wallace lot to Warren and Burgdorf and back. Was just to make sure one of the groomers would run after sitting all summer. The snotel is showing about 19 inches at Secesh summit so do your snow dance.

We need about another foot at least to be able to do any of the runs that are off of the roads. It then takes some time for the operators to build the base and fill in the water bars, etc. for those trails.

Go to

for the grooming reports.

I see that you did not stop at Lardo's and make a flag on your way home! Dangerous to show people where you live..guys who play a lot of golf there might be knocking on your door for a beverage! You probably hear a little cussing in that spot! I yell two four letters words that both start with F at that T regularly!
