McCall Snow

Just a bump post to make the guys who won't pay to be on the site wonder what they are missing. :) Lol.

LOL

I hear ya.

We need some snow for sure. Headed out over new years. I have the sleds loaded but wondering if I should take them off and put the four wheelers on?

Thunder

We HAVE to get something by then. Last year we got dumped right after Xmas, I remember my folks trying to leave town to get back to Boise to make their plane in the middle of the dump.
Brundage needs a foot more to open, my dad was trying to decide on whether to bring his skis this year or not. No real snow forecast, but 1" in town can be a foot up high too.

Sure hope we get a foot up high soon! Really sucks sittin at school looking at the snow reports and not seeing any snow! hah:pray: for snow

It's even worse when your out of school and not seeing any snow... I was planning on riding my whole break and its starting to look like i'm not going to get to at all :face-icon-small-sad

The arctic isolation (long term high pressure) is now moving away from the west coast and will be returning our scheduled snow.... Just got done reading an article for the next two weeks, the 26-29 predicting 2ft around mccall, then the following week another similar storm. Hopefully it happens!

The trails out of the upper Brundage snowmobile parking lot were all freshly groomed as of Wed am 12-21-11. Here's a photo. The riding on the trails is as good as it gets. Once the trails are groomed it really doesn't matter if you have 2 feet or 10 feet, groomed is groomed. Some areas to the north of the resevoir had about 6 inches of fresh from Tue night's snow. Off trail riding is still a bit marginal all-though doable if you are willing to take a chance. Meadow riding and carving is pretty safe, boondocking through the trees can be a bit sketchy depending on the area. It's sounding like the weather trend may change mid next week. Hope so, we sure are due...

Christmas day....or might just take the Rzrs out. Looks like New years should be deep fellas! Tuesday- Sunday moderate to heavy snow is predicted with perfect big snow temperatures! We are long due

Ok guys....I was just outside cleaning up the driveway, on the slim chance that the weather report may be correct. And there was some weird looking little specks of stuff hitting my bald head. Kinda cold. I had to look close, but there was more than one! I THINK it may have been snow?

Anyone have a report from yesterday? How high did the rain / snow line go? I was at Brundage last night for their 50th anv. and it was raining at the base area which is about 6,300'.

I dunno, but it is ACTUALLY snowing here at the house on the SE side of the lake. Like the 3/4 inch flake snow that builds up quick. :)

3 or 4 inches when I went to bed, woke up to an inch or two of slush. WTH. Told wife maybe it is time to move again. :(

Ok, just left brundrege sp. Raining, two guys had already come back from goose lake. Snow is so thick you get stuck going down hill. Maybe tomorrow, its suppose to cool down. We rode yesterday it was decent, but a three inch crust in top. Beats working or hanging at . We are heading to the hot springs to enjoy the rest of the day.
