Maybe a new SKIDOO dealer in Washington!!

Just adding a little fun to the topic:D I will be working hard with the fellow doo riders, the race department and good people like Rooster built to make sure the set ups are top notch. I can assure you that when the first snow fly's I will be spending hours getting everything dialed perfect.

I have to throw out my .02. Went in to get order a part (recoil spring for RMK). First time Iever bought something from Clems shop. Got it ordered and was told it would be here in a week. Cool. I said when it comes in, can you put it in the starter housing? No problem. Two weeks go by and hear nothing so I call. Where's my part? They say it's here and just need to put it in. Be ready tomoorw. I call tomorrow and still not finished but the guy in service said we dropped the ball but I can bust it right out. Cool, call me when it's done. He calls be back in 10 minutes. I'm thinking, while I'm there I can talk to someone about dealing on a new sled. I've been looking for a new Doo dealer. So I head over to pick it up and was floored that I got charged for a half hours worth of labor for less than 10 minutes worth of time especially since I got put on the back burner. I ask the guy at the parts counter about this and he says "I just ring up what the invoice says". He knew I wasnot happy about this and agreed it was a little steep but never even offered to talk to service about it. I don't have time to deal this and I call BS and feel I got bent. Needless to say, I did not stop and talk to any sales people on my way out. Off to I-90 I go. Rant over.

Well whitefish I will be up there working by october 1st and think it would be cool to try to earn your business back. Hopefully I can help make your next visit a little better. Really want to help build a great place for the snowmobile crowd!

I have been dealing with clems for about 10 yrs, I have dealt with a few good parts guys but the majority of them IMO have no clue. I have had to get on the computer and look up my part numbers because they can't figure out how there computer works or something. I have had good luck buy sleds from clem and I have not dealt with the service dept. but if they did not say they were going to charge you for putting in the spring I would talk to clem or corey. if they did a half hour is fair. it is a flat rate type of deal just like taking a car to a shop. If you don't know how to get that spring in there and then you wouldn't need to pay them so not much to complain about IMO

are you going to have them just buy the kits from rooster built and install them for there settup? that would be great customer service:D

I knew I would be charged something. No problems there. Would never expect anything to be free. But for less than 10 minutes of work and I had to keep calling and the delays. Doesn't fly in my book.

Well, I talk to whitefish earlier today and now I read this..... He was not happy and I would have gave you the part back and when I got home I would have cancelled the transaction, I'm calling STRIKE 1

They will never please everyone...........................

It doesn't matter how much they try, it will never happen! I will give them the benefit of the doubt, after all it is a bussiness isn't it? Also how many of you work for free??????????????????? Too bad a snomobiler was unhappy with a dealer, never heard of that. Have you? If I can shop local I do. Good luck to the new doo dealer. -00's

So whats everyone opinions on the XP'S? How the handling, steering, weight transfer, suspension, etc? How about motor/clutching upgrades? Like to get a good idea of what people around here have had good luck with. Cant wait for some snow to get testing!:D

The '10's will be a whole new ballgame in the susp dept.
Clutching is "OK" for most guys, but gains to be had for the boondocker/climber.
IMO throw the sway bar in the garbage unless you ride nothing but roads.
Steering effort will be greatly reduced on the '10's also.
Do a pipe for weight loss, not power gain.
Head adds a good amount of midrange, a little on top but needs good fuel.
Factory jetting is good.
:beer;

Whats the away bar theory? Helps throwing it over? Soaking up the bumps? I run one with my Mod cat and not on my Mod IQ, both chassis take it very different! Is steering effort coming from chassis set like skid placement, shock etc or from linkage/steering design?

They changed the steering geometry for '10 to make it easier to turn.
They changed rail angle and dropped the front of the rear susp for 10 to make it easier to pull over.....might make it easier to ride with the sway bar intact?.....I'm curious how it will effect it's deep snow performance with steeper approach....7* steeper than '08-09's.
You'll have fun with them! :beer;
