What does this have anything to do with the Mormon church? The original post is about what an idiot this guy is for making the coment that he did. Just because this guy plays for a church owned school does not mean that he is a representitive of our "little church". Your comment is almost as classless as his was.
If you hate the Mormons and every thing we stand for so bad why in heckwould you live in Utah.
Not sure you knew this, but BYU...Brigham Young University.....Brigham Young.... I think, had something to do with the mormon church.....maybe not,
and actually Max being a high profile public figure representing BYU it does mean he is a representitive of your "little church" sorry, that was a poke, the mormon church
It's been a few years since i've been to sacrament, but I'm pretty sure most of what Max said is not advocated during the sunday meetings
That is my point...nothing more....never said I hated mormons...pretty sure hating....as well, is not advocated in the meetings...and why, if I did, would it have anything to do with where I live?
Not a hate speech....just would like to see some accountability on some peoples part....

Ok just because you go to BYU does not mean you ARE a member of the Church. While yes it may be around the 95% of people are LDS there are many that are not. So i got to ask, if one of these kids that are not a member of the church said something like that would this be this big of a deal? Would people still think he is a spokes person for the Church?
Max Hall is not by any means my hero. I agree there has been many better QB's at BYU. Yes he may have the winningest record but he also played more than most. Yes he is good but defiantly not the best.
With that said I thought it was awesome that he said what he said. May not have been the best time to say it but look at the reaction he has got. I think it is hilarious at how wound up so many people have gotten over this. I think its pretty funny.
So what does that really mean? What are the fans going to do about this? If the University of Utah, fans, players, etc. are really a classy school, NOTHING should happen next year. Prove Max wrong. But it has already been predicted that something will. I guess the saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but names with never hurt me" does not apply to the U. Obviously names do hurt them and they will retaliate with sticks and stones. I guess we will just have to wait till next year to see just how classy the U really is.

Tell you what... I really don't need to explain this you just come to the game next year and see for yourself. I have been to alot of games in the RES and there are some real classy fans. Dont go beating up on Dodge he's a good dude, Im sure all non Mormons got as many war stories as all us Mormons do. There are good and bad everyone's, the problem with Utah Mormons has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with numbers go to any area in the US the dominant religion is going to have a huge target on their back because some of the members act like they run the world...and they do run that part of it.

No it dosen't mean your a member or a spokesperson for the church, but you have to follow a code and a strict regiment I'm not sure what that is because I'm just not a huge Cougie fan. (sounds like you could probably tell me) but what I am trying to point out that you are "representing" a church owned and operated school and that you must follow the strict rules to play on the team. You know like all the players you hear about on the news that are suspended or arrested. When someone ie...from Tennessee watches MH run his mouth about how they have pure hatred towards a rival and the whole other school represented and the only thing they know about the BYU is that they are a LDS church owned school well...what impression is that? Just a perspective man.

If you just won "king of the Hill" at Jackson on a Ski-doo (yeah I know...this is a very unlikely parable but bare with me) and you were SPONSERED by ski-doo and you said that then they would be pissed because....well everyone already knows that a turbo would be much more efficient on a dragon or M-chassis. And because your Sponsered by ski-doo well that's cool but you can't run you mouth off what is going on in the lab because it's not your say man. OK.....when I started this thread I had NO idea what kind of a bomb I was igniting! WOW!!! But, there are likely generations of feelings and some bad blood on both sides. I will sum up my feelings about the game, rivalry and Maxy.....
* I am bummed Utah lost the game
* Utah's personal foul penalties were ridiculous and hurt them!
* I watched the game with a room full of cougar fans....it sucked!
