Paying for any forum is a ****ing joke and people that do are suckers. Getting spammed with someones magic diet bull**** is what made me realize how crappy this forum is. I read and post for free. Could care less what happens past the magic post count. Can someone please justify why you spend money to be on this dumpster fire of a forum?

Well, I would consider it a waste of money too if all I did was spend most of my time in the fouled plug section.......


I think I was basic member for about a week before I found it was well worth the then $30 for 3 years Premium Membership Then 3 years later, paid the then $60 for Lifetime.......

We have started the process of EXPORTING content from this forum to the new forum.

Its a BEAR.

First estimates look like a 5 day process to export, convert, verify and then import. And that is just for the first TEST RUN.


I think tomorrow we might dial up the SW servers from Summer Mode to Winter Mode and see if we can't add some horsepower to this massive amount of data processing to speed things along a bit faster.

Took us 3-4 tries before we got our FIRST SUCCESSFUL EXPORT/IMPORT LAST NIGHT!

We can now run the process in about 20 hours time from start to finish.


Now that we were able to move a "snapshot" of the forums over onto the new platform we have begun CHECKING the content for continuity.

So far it looks surprisingly good.
All the images in all of the threads imported correctly.
I was more than a little worried how all of the images on SW would handle the Export/Import.


Right now we are chasing down Personal Photo Albums to see how they did.

We now have an anticipate ROLL OVER DATE of October 1st.


This is a "Soft Date" but we think we are finally close enough to offer up a tangible date!

Will be working on the new forum all night tonight.
We finally have a full image of the current forum in the new format.
But the import still has a LOT of holes in it.
Tonight I am trying to get all of the user account permissions back in place

It's coming. Give it about 3 or 4 weeks, from what I understand.
