I was just talking to a friend and strangely enough, I recall a old beat up red 1-gallon gas sitting back there... This might be upsurd, as it was back in mid February. Anyone see that lately?

I have some friends who were ther that night in the cabin earlier, (snowmobile people) the fire was almost out, barley burning when they left, some hikers staying in the parking lot were the first to notice it, they woke up my friends who were they with in minutes, it was burning up by the chimminey and ran down the rafters to the walls, they talked to the forest service guy and gave statements. They all believe it started up in the roof by the chimminey, I guess badk in jan or feb some people actually repaired something up there, might not have had the correct clearences or something they think, thats what I know, definately not arson or anything like that,

I guess we should be talking to whoever took out the old GOOD wood stove and put in the little worthless wood stove.
Exactly RIGHT there HELNS, Was told the last 3 weekends by different sources there how much better the new stove and upgrades were???? , But even my 16 yr. old daughter could not beleive this along w/MY 27 & 25 yr. old sons go figure who have grown up here since new!!! Been some good riding after punching through the carved flow recently w/ these late winter SPRING conditions. Will always cherrish what was, well was & hope for a better outcome if possible w/ these tight economic times !!!!! Will need alllll the help and donations as possible to fix as nice as once was!!! Unfortunately my donation will get smaller when the sun comes out and I start maintanance on my boat....

hows the snow on helens?
It was frozen early but pretty good around 11:00. A lot of snow still! I think to good I can't hardly walk today! Trail going up was in great shape, we had to park at cougar they had the gate locked.
The road to marble snopark was gated?
We are planning a ride on sunday hopefully out of marble. thanksGate locked, whats up with that?
thanks for your efforts with the forest service volcano. Its the government at least you tried.
We rode friday the 8th and it was a mess getting up to marble parking lot with trucks parking everyplace they wanted too. Marble as of last sunday had about 8 inches in the parking lot, so prob why they locked the gate or because of the shelter being down? Atleast the snow was good 
Might be unlocked by this weekend. The road from Cougar snow park to Marble Mountain was not plowed so they closed the gate to avoid a big mess. Yes I know most of us could have made it to Marble without much problem. But all it takes is one to block the only lane and then everyone is screwed.
Lack of plowing closes the road in April, gotta love it! Sled til June!
Just recalling as a kid years ago, skiing 4th of July weekend at Crystal Mountain. The good ole days of global cooling..
