manual boost controller, what are you running??

I have been out lately riding the yamadoo.. comfortable with how its running and my setup, NOW I WANT MORE BOOST!!!:face-icon-small-hap I have a little bleeder style one installed like this one pictured, problem is, it doesnt seem to do a whole lot, I have the thing pretty much threaded all the way out and it seems to have almost no affect on my boost levels.. I think i might hit like 2psi higher, but thats not gonna get it done. Im ready to turn the SOB up, now that I can take advantage of the propane!!

WHat kind of boost controller are you running and how does it work?? consistant boost? spiking?

I have a carb jet in the air line on this exact set up works great. tokk a bit to get the right jet but cheap and works

I have what looks like a air pressure regulator on mine, I also have a dual port wastegate actuator, but from the instructions I have read it should work even with a single port wastegate actuator, all you need is a small air pressure reg that is adjustable 0-30 psi, accurate to like 1 psi. They have them in mcmaster. I think you can run it inline or use it as a bleeder. I would run it inline.

the hallman pro with ceramic ball is the best of the manual controllers. controlls boost spikes better than most because of the quick reacting light weight ceramic ball + no chance of rusting & sticking like the metal ball ones. seen that on a ton of sleds

Been looking at the boondocker EBC. It has a feature to automatically raise boost as you gain altitude. It also has a "push to pass" button that can give you a preset amount of extra boost while your holding the button. Also a good electronic controller doesn't crack the wastegate till your boost setting so you get more response over the manual ones...

I run the Turbosmart Boost T. I took the ball and spring out. It says it reduces boost spikes. Mine worked the same with the ball and spring in or out. No chance of corrosion which never happened to me either.

You could make your own controller for 5 bucks if you wanted to, very very simple !

Hallman....had problems with the Turbo Smart ones....would be inconsistant holding at a certain boost level....Hallman i set it up once and never touched it all year....
