~Major Theft Ring Going on!~

Thread Rating
4.00 star(s)
[QUOTE=VTMTcowboy;3480 I just cant believe how somebody could steal a sled when they obviously know how much money, time, and effort goes into em.

Those who steal do not work for thier own things, they take others. They have no respect for the effort and time put into actually earning something for themselves. They dont care if you busted your arse to buy something .......hence they phrase.." ride it like ya stole it"
They have ZERO ethic, integrity, or moral conscience.

Shoot someone for stealing, and YOU go to prison too. uh good call...

Some people watch too much Television...

Lemme guess... you pack a gun while you sled too....

There are many crooks who scope these sites, for sure...

I mean, if you are stupid enough to put pics up of all your chit, and also your Digis, and addy.... then I am not suprized.... Help yourselves!!!.

Some still think that there is nothing but honest peeps on here.

Well people go to prison for stealing also and what comes around goes around and obviousily you've never had this done to you!! Stay in Canada where you belong......on your own turf. Thanks for being a "supportive member" on here.

Princess, I think what 'cuso was saying was that shooting someone is not the answer for theives. That would be too fast. throwing a sack over their heads and hockey punching them, then stripping all their clothes off and dropping them off 20 miles in the bush to walk home bleeding would be a better alternative.
The statement " stay in Canada where you belong " seems a little childish, but I appreciate the fact that you would allow us to stay within the borders of our beautiful country. I'm thankful every day that our gun laws don't allow every idiot to carry side arms. I could think of a couple peeps right now who I would NEVER want to see carry. I have guns, many in fact. Some take big shells that make lots of noise and would drop a grizz in it's tracks if need be.

I detect a little sarcasm when you thank him for being a " supportive member ". Perhaps, if everyone doesn't play on your team by your redneck rules, they will be banished to their country forever ? 'scuze me while I LMAO. :D

Heres an eye opener, a stolen 750 kawi....3 weeks later the address of the perpetrator is known. So we reefed open garage door....no quad but the loading ramps and rear storage seat are in there. When the cops show up they are going to charge us with break and enter, they said if we grab the loading ramps and seat which is worth 650 bucks they would charge us with theft for taking some of our stuff back.....Good god whats next. What is with police now a days just speeding tickets, i have absolutely lost all respect for them after this travesty.

I have had stuff stolen from me on a few occasions... I think everyone has. If I catch them red handed, they probably will have to seek medical attention, but not a coroner.

Stealing is one thing, shooting a person is another...Have you aimed a weapon on someone with intent to shoot? I know of someone who did.. He and his family's life were threatened with a knife wielding guy who was chasing them on their property.. It was the hardest thing he had to do.

Veedy, you are right, some people should just not own firearms.

Even better yet... Come visit our fine country "Princess" but leave the weapons and clint eastwood attitude at home.:beer;:D

That many thefts in such a short period of time, sure would be nice to find chop shops in the area. With that many hot sleds running around it would be to risky to have a stolen in your possesion.

I know the head of security for a local ski area and they are alway finding stolen snowboards on ebay or craigslist.

I hope the prosecutors have the juevos to send these people to prison and not take a easy deal just to get a guilty plea.

O the good ol' "insured by smith and wesson..." Just because you own a gun, doesn't mean you'll be able to shoot another person with it. And to kill somebody for stealing a snowmobile?? I could see stompin the crap outta the chithead, but to shoot them? It's terrible you had your sleds stolen, but I think killing somebody for it is a little over the top.

and to rail on a guy for being canadian just because he sprinkled a little rain on your sympathy parade is pretty pathetic.

Um yes, who doesnt??? I always take protection (compact .45) when traveling in the back country.

agreed, Thats how come i have my conceled weapons permit. Everyone has thier own opinion on guns, but i wouldn't head out with out a firearm, except in Canada, and when i carry mine it's not for the theives or people aspect at all. but if something like that happened you can bet that there would be some holes on the rigs or sleds(tires too). cause it would make it a whole lot easier to find. Now if I came across in the middle of a theift, and me or someone in my party was getting endangered the theif might have to go get some medical attention.

And besides we wouldn't even have this convo if POS's would put the effort in to getting their own stuff instead of taking mine and other ppls.

Not being sarcastic, but a serious question... who are you protecting yourself from ? The only thing I could see is maybe a cougar in springtime. Some people around here have been chased by cougars, but if you drop your underwear on the ground she might just stop for a sniff, allowing you sufficient time for escape ! lol. ( that was nasty, sorry Kath :D ) but seriously packing a gun sledding ? Hmm talk about paranoid. I have been sledding 24 years in the backcountry and NEVER had the need for a firearm. Quadding on the other hand..... BIG SHOTGUN :D

LOL! good one Brent.:D

When I am sledding in the backcountry, everyone I see is super friendly. Many stop to see if you are ok, if you are on the side of the logging road, or stop and help if you are stuck or in a bind.
Stopping by some peeps by a fire and they offer you food... or vice versa.

Heck I have only seen 2 cases when someone got their fuel stolen at a fuel drop off, and they at least left the jerry can...

If I ever have to fear for my live because of a dangerous person in the mountains, I will stop sledding.

Interesting thread since a guy that I work with today told me what happened last summer.

He caught a guy (late teens) breaking into his truck in the driveway of his house. He is a big guy (my co-worker) and could have likely wooped the guy pretty well but instead... he used pepper spray to subdue him. Then duck tape to secure him. You're thinking he called the cops right? So did I. not

He loaded him in the back of the truck and drove about 20 miles into the desert. Said the guy was wimpering "don't kill me, I sorry, I'll never do it again..." He took his shoes, untaped his hands and feet and told him to start walking. Left him out there and drove home... with a new pair of shoes!!

I would have never thought of that.

Sorry to all you "Sensative People" tht I've offended!

I didn't mean to "offend" Mr. MARCUSO for raining on my pitty party. I was mearly trying to let him now that his attitude was a bit harsh. It's bad enough for this to happen to anyone, even if it were you, but you called me "dumb enough to put my s____ on here for all to see." That is not what I did at all! And as far as Smith And Wesson goes, It's a "figure of speach"! No I don't pack a gun while out sledding, I was merely saying that if I were to catch them in the "act" of the theft that they were going to hear from me...I've been in law enforcement for years and have been on both sides of the coin. Catching the thieving basta___'s and then locking them up for it! I'm not stupid enough to shoot some jerk off for steaing my sled, only think of it! *LOL* I guess if this were done to you, you'd know how I feel and how I feel my husbands pain of seeing all his hard work and money taken by some low life scums. This is a forum.... and talk and support is what it's all about. Helping and supporting one another. :rolleyes: You can come down here all you want and snow on our turf.....just leave the attitude at home if you can't have a sence of humor....ok? :D:beer;

TTT

That's funny!

I worked out at IBP (graveyard shift) when I was younger and one night we hear this banging on the door, go to see who it is and there is a naked guy standing there that had been caught with some guys wife. The husband took his clothes (at gun point) and dumped him out on the tank road. Pretty funny.

Huh? Lol

Actually let me rephrase my previous post, i guess you took it as if I was referring to you... I was talking to the general publiic.

Anyone,(I don't mean you) who posts personal info, such as addresses, all your toys, your house pictures and last name is looking into getting their chit stolen.

There was a guy on this forum who had all the above in his profile a few years back. He said "there are good peeps on here, no one would steal my stuff"... Can't remember his name.

Also, Where do you mention that you got ripped off? I didn't read anything about that? If you did, sorry about your loss.

Your's Truly,

Mr. MARCUSO:face-icon-small-ton
