You know? .... if you just read through a few pages of this forum it's very obvious that there is a HUGE problem with thieves stealing OTHER PEOPLES SLEDS!! It's very obvious that the Punk Azz Lazy Loosers don't want to work for their toy's like the rest of us, nore do they care about all the memories we build on our rides with our family and friends when they jack someone elses' SLED'S. So if anyone want's to start up a mob or mafia to go after these thieving bastar__'s.............. I'M IN!!!!!! Oh yeah. We've installed a new security system too....... It's called SMITH & WESSON!

Well I just rode my new 08 for the very first time yesterday,was awesome. Steal this sled and I wont use a gun. I will lacerate you and listen to you bleed out as I look at my cell.....

Yep, what comes around goes around...most of these low lifes will make the mistake that hangs them sooner or later.

These thefts are good reason to be sure you know who you are buying used parts from. I would hate to be putting my hard earned $$ in a thief's pocket.

with as big as this forum is or maybe isnt what makes you think a or some members on here are part of this? it seems to me a lot of people post what they have where they will be ect on here and that would make it pretty simple to know when and where? not sure but just a thought on a bored sunday afternoon?

i was thinking the same thing. it be embarrassing to find out that some on here is a part of the crimes!

North Idaho has been getting hammered by thieves in the last few weeks....The Spokane Area Riders thread in the Idaho 4m the guys were talking about 12 separate thefts in about a half dozen different parking lots.

Seems they were successful in running the thieves outta Revy...but they just ran them across the boarder...

What kills me is that nothing happens to the thief.
Not a snowmobile, but theft occured in one of my new spec homes. They caught the theives red handed stealing appliances ($8k) right out of the home. 8 investigators arrested 2 people at gunpoint in the home. Their vehicle had my appliances in it, and their storage shed had my refridgerator in it as well as $100k in appliances from several other new homes.
I've been called 4 times now to testify in a court, and all 4 times the trial has been either a no guilty plea, or postponed. This has been going on for 4 months. So these theives have taken my busy time: 4 hrs when they were arrested in my home, 6 hrs to go pick up my refridgerator from the police, 2 hrs to reinstall my refridgerator, 2 hrs to reinstall my dishwasher, 4 trips down to the courthouse and 3 hrs of sitting in a waiting room for the court clerk to call me in (which still hasn't happened). So it doesn't end, the theives get more out of you than just your stuff.
I'm supposed to go up on the stand again on the 20th, and I feel like telling the judge (big almighty phoney) that his system is a joke, let the theives go so I can buy cheap appliances from them on the next home I build.

Smith and Wesson is a pretty solid insurance plan for sure! I just cant believe how somebody could steal a sled when they obviously know how much money, time, and effort goes into em. I cant imagine loosing one of my two and if it ever happened I would definitely go on the offensive too! Sorry to hear about your losses, the world of snowmobiling is filled with so many good people, but its the few losers that ruin it for the rest of us.
