M9000 question

It was acting like it was hot, with your description, but I had just done some fluffy riding so I can't see that.
So nothing built-in to the ecu to keep us from running them too hard too early?

Started riding mine with 12.5 miles on it, never had anything keep me from running it however I wanted. Although mine is a '13

Need to check coolant level, make sure all coolant lines are connected well, and clamps are tight. I had issues with mine getting hot after the first couple of rides, and starting hard after working it just a little bit. It was because one of the coolant lines coming off the reservoir had a loose clamp…dripped just enough to leak most of the coolant out over the first few rides, but not enough at once to ever show up and leak out of the bottom.

Also you should bleed your coolant if you think it might be the issue, or if you find a loose hose/clamp. A hex head screw w/philips slots in it on the front of the engine more towards clutch side is the bleeder. Get nose of sled up, warm up engine, crack screw, repeat until no air comes w/coolant. Helps to drill a hole in the heat shield to access the screw…at least on the '13.

Thanks, I did check the level when I had the hood off, it was full. Looked everything over, didn't see anything loose or wet. Never saw a temp light except when warming up at the truck.

Not sure what the problem was, but it is gone. 40 miles on her today without a hiccup, this thing is a beast.

mine did the same thing and mine is a 13 right away. I was so pissed that I was almost ready to trade it off but checked it over and found coolant leaking out the tank and then ran it again and after 40 miles on it it finally came out of it and never backfired again since that day it happened

I had to have had an air bubble or something that passed the temp sensor and tricked it into thinking it was overheating. Either that or just a breakin/gunk in fuel/lines thing. I literally didn't go above half throttle for 30 miles yesterday in the deep fluff, then on the way out opened it up a few times, it was flawless.
Interesting, I wasn't real impressed with the track/traction until I got some track speed, then I couldn't stick it.

So what does it mean if you put a EVO BRV on your sled and it quiet making that sound in the video?

I was wondering if an aftermarket one would be quieter myself. Mine is quieting down a little bit it seems like, less chatter and more "whoooosh", lol.
