Nice man. I'd kill to see a direct comparison of the two machines. I'm even more excited to see a direct comparison of the XP and the '09 Kats.

First I have to say that this topic has given me more laughs than any other topic in my 3 year history of snowest foruming.
Second, I got an 08 M8 last year, and I love it, but I haven't really been able to compare it directly to XP or D8. I do know that it destroys a piped 700 MM, handles a bundle better than a king cat, and feels like a go-kart compared to a Cutler's M8 turbo. However, I also have to ask if it's even fair to compare a D8 and XP based on cost. For a guy like me who is so broke that I probably should quit snowmobiling altogether, $8500 for an M8 or 10,500 for a D8 was a no-brainer. I knew I didn't need the extra 10 HP THAT bad. What are people paying for an XP these days. Is it anything close to a M8? Really I didn't even consider an XP last year, as I value reliability too highly and therefore have vowed to never buy any machine in it's first year of production.

i had so many laughs reading about everyone against sno-pro panther boy that i just had to comment. I want to clear somethings up though. First, I'm from Manitoba and I dont want this %@#&$*^ clown giving us a bad rep. Atleast were not from Saskabush(damn gappers). 2. Sno pro rides 2500ft!!! Our highest elevation is only 2700ft and hardly accessible buy any type of machine. If you do ride there get your cheque book out for repairs because they are old logging grounds. 3. one of his blogs says he is 20yrs old, then some say he is 15. 4. they only universities in manitoba are in brandon and winnipeg(4-6 hours from any elevation even nearing 2000ft). let the baby have his bottle and lets not encourage him, the mentallity of his blogs really show his maturity and know how of the sport. I'm from Brandon. I have a 08' M8 153, for when i go out west, a 07' crossfire 1000 141 for around home and I just bought my wife a M5. so when snopro wants to put his money where his mouth is, I will load up MY WIFES M5 and meet you on any hill in Manitoba for pinks slips if you like. Sno-pro STFU and go visit your cyber friends in myspace fruitcake. Now get to bed, its past 8:00.

lets see. 1. i ride mostly at 2500 feet but i also ride around the highest point in the province and i do ride on those logging roads. sled is still together. and i have only got new carbides and a belt. 2. 20 years old. born in 88. 3. hmm let me see. i go to university college of the north and university of manitoba. so yes i go to university. since the faculty i am in is only available at canadian universities. 4. why would i ride around brandon or winnipeg? they get nothing for snow compared to here.
shows your maturity as you know nothing by the sounds of it. so before you start yapping maybe a little research would work. if you have ever been to this area of the province you would know what it looks like. so when your sitting on your thumb up your butt waiting for the south to actually get 2 inchs of snow we will be riding the 3 feet we get before christmas.

holy that was a long a$$ read haven't done that since grade 6 lol! man this kid is giving us 20yrs a bad name and don't start picking up on us sask boys here either i just got done school worked my a%% off all summer payed my truck off and have a brand new 09 m1000 153 sitting in the shop. last year i took my 670 in my 98rmk and converted it into a rolling chassi 01 summit 500 fan cooled and put a 02 600 back into the 98rmk while taking my fourth class power engineering. i just got tired of fixing and tuneing two selds last year so i sold the 98rmk and bought a m1000 so i can pull and go and have the 670 to play and tune on.

Highest point in Manitoba-baldy mountain-2730 whopping feet. Thats 3 hours away from the nearest UCN campus in The Pas and 5.5 hours from the Thompson campus. If you knew your snow amount facts, than you would know that the South East section of riding mountain national park recieves 6-8" of average snowfall more than the two highest ranges in Manitoba, being the Duck Mountain's and Porcupine Mountains. So before you want to start beaking, know your facts, *** clown! I have a cabin at Zed lake Prov. park, which is north of Lynn Lake, so I know what alot more snow is than the interlake region. When I was 20 I already had my Red seal certificate and was done with schooling, so dont preach that you have so much snow before Christmas, because my schooling was at Keewatin in The Pas and I know what the weather is like. And theres usually not much then. Its not as much fun arguing with someone that knows the facts, than with people that might live a thousand miles away and dont know any better. As for your pedophile dream, no thanks, but at least you live in the right area of MB so that wont be too hard to find.
