M858 clutch kits?

Im engaging at 3900-4000. Mine is a 154, and Im about 200 fully geared up. When Im at 9000-10000ft my sled runs 8250-8300 down to 8150. Not sure track speed at that elevation. When i had the 46 helix in w stock springs it would fall off rpm when hot. Was holding 7800rpm usually. Track speed was 33mph
@CO 2.0 just got my SLP kit. Supposed to get a decent dump next weekend so hopefully I’ll have something to report. I run their kits in the 3 ascenders I have and I have set them up once and never had an issue

I must have got a good setup from the factory (late build) sled's got 10 hours 180 miles , 7800 ft 6-8 " fresh snow , 40° plus 1/2 mile long pulls did prolly 20 no matter how I did the pulls whether it was with a run or trying to make it challenging by starting at the base it would hit 8100-8150 and held it no drop off get outta it and restab it and it was ready to go and right back to 8100 . Nothing was unclimbable today on this sled only thing holding it back was me , not being quite comfortable with this chassis yet and how it reacts , pack the skis for the entire pull if ya wanted to !! Every time I needed it to be back shifted It was waiting for me to stab it again!! Going into the crater was a mix of dirt and hard groomed , (flap on) saw 145 once on the back side of the ridge in solid frozen groomed , rest of the day 117-135 so flap solved the heat issue for sure . Flap got sucked in once cus I set it to close temps were rising quick , fixed it right back to 125

. Honestly the thing is a beast go places I sure as F..k don't want to go or rather come down !!! Pulls harder than my modded 900 with the same low end torque and throttle response !!

Stock clutching?

Yup all stock cept for the jaws race can and a lipo battery !!! Although I don't profess to be a clutching guru I have ridden for 40 years and when a sled is clutched right it runs like this one does instant back shift and no rpm fall off even on nasty pulls would love to get it in 3+ feet of fluff but that's prolly not gonna happen this late in the year !!!

Same, mines a late build as well and it’s been running great, about 30-35hrs and 300 miles now. I tried the Ibexx clutch kit i had ordered on their Black Friday sale. It killed track speed vs stock. Wouldn’t even hardly pull the skis up anymore. Kept the slightly stiffer springs from the kit but put the stock weights and helix back in and she came back to life, back to wheelying up everything and she’s a 165”. Haven’t had heat issues on mine as long as I run the scratchers down in low snow, but also haven’t had it out in super frozen/crusty spring conditions yet. Also, I see people wigging out about how little oil these use, but mine uses probably double the oil that my ‘20 ascender used, even with a tune on that sled that supposedly increased oil useage. My 858 uses enough oil that it leaves a black spot in the snow if I stop and let it idle in one spot for a bit. Definitely not upset about that. Aside from a ski shock failure, mines been great overall and I’m loving this chassis now that I’ve figured out how she likes to be ridden.

SLP kit installed today let’s that’s we still get storm towards the end of the week. I’m putting my Speedwerx kit into my friends identical sled to compare. One thing I noticed when taking apart his secondary was that the secondary spring with about 200 miles on it had already collapsed .200 vs mine that was pulled at 30 miles. Last ride out his son in law had said that it was really down on rpm.

With yours being a late build did it come with the chassis saver brackets? Mine did not but my dealer called me back in January and said he had some from AC and to bring the sled by for install, which I did. Mine also runs good pulls 8100 - 8200 rpm at 6k to 8k feet elevation all stock. Mine uses a lot more oil than my previous 800 C-Tec also which I am good with. The only issue I had was when we did the bracket install my handwarmer cluster failed when I went to load the sled. Dealer had one in stock no issues since.

No, it came with the washers for under the upper ball joints to increase a-arm clearance with the atac shocks, but not the chassis savers. I had already installed the bdx ones though, by time the dealer mentioned he had the cat ones. I had some issues with my atac button on the controls around the same time my shock failed(wouldn’t hold air) but I took the controls apart to see if there was an obvious issue, but didn’t see anything. Also did another gauge update at that time and the last two rides the button seemed to work fine, so not sure if one of those fixed my issue or I’ve just been lucky the last couple rides. Even with the slightly stiffer springs my rpm’s pull down to around 8000 above 9k ft so I may drop a gram next season to see what happens. Below 9k she hits 81-8200 easy.
