M8 Turbo owners - What are you running?

First start with this reading, they are talking about exhaust, placement cuts etc. and plugging in powder. we changed the tunnel dump to where it does work, i never said i was a specialist, but turbos , superchargers and turbines are all different get it straight. Second Forced induction is two words, check me out, i a scholar tonight. Like i said when you are ready for real world proof, let me know. D

and yes, SC/TC/Turbines/tube socks are all diffrent....but whats that gotta do with continued posting of misinformation??

Hatchers i did not speak to you, when you called bd, so i cant confirm what took place. Going by our private messages i thought that you were going to do the new tunnel dump with the ada box. That was the last i heard from you, end of story. What misinformation? You mean the tunnel dump working in really deep powder? I already told you, real world results. Let me know when you are interested.

Lets lay it all out....screw it!

I had a boondocker kit last year that ran like total crap, I called boondockers customer service several times and was unable to speak to anyone who has a clue about the basic function of these turbo/oil/fuel applications and what components do what. I was basically feed a completely bogus quote they had on there website for awhile….”We have the only turbo kit that works in deep POWDER” ßthis is total ignorant misinformation and should pissed off anyone off who respects what the aftermarket companies are testing and selling us….this is not a company X vs. boondockers, this is me speaking out against BS.

Every issue related to this BD kit was resolved by Shane Stinger himself, in the past, I got on the wagon and talked chit about him on here like the rest of the folks who don’t know him or know what has to offer the common customer, well we sat down and talked and his basic knowledge about every sled/part/kit is ver impressive, this dude knows a lot and is not in the turbo kit game to get rich, he genuinely enjoys helping the customer and making everything right….this is where he gained my respect. He offered to help me with his time and only sold me parts as a very reasonable price while boondocker just wanted to sell me the latest box of over priced gadgets to fix what i would call a inferior kit, understand this was a 08 kit not what they sell now.

The reason I get so heated over misinformation from the Boondocker camp is rooted from my 16 hour and day engineering work with the worlds leader in gas turbine engines, I breath this stuff and it consumes me…many will take this as arrogance, but it will never be “misinformation”

So for myself, my bias toward Twisted is justifiable when “others” only post misinformation and don’t get involved in “tech” threads. Safety bob tried to make things right last year and offered to look into some stuff...he never did…im over it and am happy my sled is a little different this year

And this talk of the twisted fans bashing someone????…..do a search people, Shane stays far away from the bashing and offers help I threads that have nothing to do with his kit and helps others who are making a home grown kit…..you wont find OVS or Boondocker in those threads, big business has nothing to gain in that arena

I should stay out of this I should but I can't help myself. With that said I think from the first few post I read the thought of poll like this pissed some off. Not a big deal I thought there would be more OVS kits out there than any and that is not a big deal to me at all OVS and BD have built kits for a long time.

In building kits for this long "things change" I know some find it hard to believe that new and improved products and turbo kits develop but they do. It can be good and bad the
Good: new & better systems every year for all of us to buy and drool over just like the new sleds Poo,Ac,Yamaha and well yes even Doo has some tricks up there sleave every now and again.

The Bad : your kit may not work as well as the new kits out on the market I rode a 680 Ultra at one time heck how about the old Power Special EFI. Anyways I think most know were I am going with this but you must upgrade every now and again to keep up with the new technology and turbo technology is rapidly advancing weather some like it or not and some turbo companies don't even have old kits because well this is the first year out.


I like you hatcher and will continue to still like you but I did send a bunch of PM's to you and bent over backwords to help you out with your kit and to update it to a new style kit. But you wanted nothing of it and that is fine it's your kit and your choice. I offered parts at my COST for a Air Density Advantage system, new style tunnel dump that "will not bog one bit in any condition" Boondocker even offered to take your sled into there shop I got you a line on a fan for your intercooler for just over $50 and everything. I save all PM's so I do have proof if you want it I would rather not go through my XML files but I will if you want.

Now you said you got bad info at BD well I am not saying that is not true BD sells hundreds of turbo's a year with the RTR sleds and such your dealer should have been able to help you out but sometimes the guys are BD get busy and a person falls through the cracks every now and again. But there are plenty of dealers like me and many others that have been willing to help guys out even though I did not sell you a kit I also have Jared's cell phone so I can get ahold of Boondocker at any hr of the day unless he is on a sled so one call to many of us would have got you going.

I think this thread can level back again it's just a poll. AND LETS THINK SNOW FOR PETE SAKE.

Im would never deny this, you have treated very well and i will/have suggested you for boondocker support

I was more concerned with the ADA actaully did....planned to get some BD updates, time moved on, yada yada

I guess my root internet anger (not real world) is related to all the hate threads and posts....thats all
