Both. The Cat piston allows tighter tolerances which is better for durability. Wisecos are finicky and require good long warm up and plenty of fuel.
 
Cast and forged pistons require different tolerances. Therefore, you would have to check the piston against your cylinder. If the cylinders are plated with the tolerance required for the Wiseco, they will be too loose on the cast piston. If they were plated to tolerance for the cast piston, they will be too loose for the forged piston.
 
thanks for all this wonderful info!! I finally had time to get this sled up on the lift today. so hopefully I can dig in and figure out what all I need to do. I did luck out and found a 10.4 secondary that I can use if wanted. also tomorrow I hope to get the DD out and start rebuilding it and possibly gearing it down.

I guess the next question I have. anyone know which belt works best with a regular 6 post (some call them 3 tower) clutch and a 10.4 secondary? im sure it needs to be a little longer. but is there one that works better?
