A simple fix for the electric reverse malfunction, the beeper sticking on, the CCU symbol and the wrench on the gage of 07-08 Cats is the reverse kit from Peak Performance. It replaces the motor and gearbox on the '07-08 DDs and LOSES 2 POUNDS!! This replaces 2.1 pounds with a 1 ounce kit. Looks bad ***. For Mtn riders, it may be a great idea. Have you used this? Took a look at the web site. Curious if that will rattle and/or hit the chassis as well?

Been out a couple of times and it's solid. The DD shifts with a very solid clunk in both directions and the lever is resting between two parts of the plastic cover. No rattle.

And the 2 pounds it takes off are pretty high up on the sled. Easier to throw around.

i would add a latch just so I wouldn't worry about it catching on something and trying to shift at the wrong time.

My reverse and monkey light did the same thing yours does. It turned out that the guy I had bought the sled from had blown a belt and a piece of belt had hit and bent the cage in front of the reverse switch and pinched the wires. yours is probably not that simple but its worth a look.

There is virtually no way anything except a finger is going to move the lever. You push it in towards the tunnel to go forward and the detent in the DD is VERY positive. This will not shift into reverse unless you shift it.

It started doing it the night I brought it home. So I got on here that night and did a little search and there were a couple guys that had the same problem. I went into the garage looked at mine and sure enough the cage was bent and there was a piece of belt stuck in there. Reached in and bent it back and havent had and issue since. Took 5 minutes. I can swing by on the way home from work tonight and take a look at yours. Its a long shot but just may work.

Cat is at dealer. "Button" needs to be replaced, clutches at 40k of alignment vs 90k. Needs to be moved at my cost. Oh well.
