M1000 Hiccups on the Bottom

M1000 Hiccup

I have started threads like this but only got Smart --s comments. The dealer had a factory rep come up to AK and test my sled with their black box and admit that the issues that are being brought up in this thread are due to the ethanol mix they have in Minnesota where they tune the sleds. He adjusted my sled and it does run better. Before he made any changes the dealer had already put a adjustable fuel regulator on mine, checked the oil injection, and mad sure the pick tube for the air density was in the proper location. I like it when you get comments back to buy a $400 Computer to fix the problem. The problem is the fuel mapping was done using ethanol mixed fuel. Hopefully we see a re flash in the areas were there is no Ethanol in the fuel. For 12 grand you would think the fix would be a little faster.

PM'd you

So a buddy of mine is looking ot buy a 07 M1000. I told him it was a great sled, now i found this tread :(. The guy said it runs great. Is there anyway to tell if it has had the new reflash?

Would you recomend a 07 M1000. It has 1700 miles.

So I just found out that sled has been reflashed. I asked about the bogging at 4k Rs and he said no problem at all. So what should we do? What would you do?

Someone from Thief River Falls is coming up here on Tuesday. We showed this thread to the dealer and he went and called AC right away. So now their trying to fix it. My dad has an m1000 and runs like crap at 4000 rpm, so hopefully this will fix it.

Curious, dealer said run 85 octane and no mention of 046 belt

update:

installed the Black Box BDX and only running 85oct found to really clean it up!
now pulls like never before, after 1300miles now she runs! cleaned clutches and belts, added .060 shim and thrust bearing in 2ndary. Very happy now!

FUEL consumption w/ new intake is incredible! uses 40% less fuel now, and pulls like a grape ape! also ditched the spdwerx can, and now running the ultra-Q---love it!! still running the 08 flash, tho

ray

i noticed an immediate bog/delay at 4000rpm.. I do recall the dealer saying, run 85 octaine (mentioned 3 times) and nothing about the 046 belt.
I have a y-pipe, wider intake, super q-can. When it hits, its phenomenal!! don't like that little delay though!

ran another 45mi yesterday in colo, new 046 belt-undecided the 60 is stickier.
we unload at 10200 and ride from 10-11k+ all day. 85oct is the key for our cats.
