Low Elevation Clutching

Works real nice!!

Mine is a 163x2.6 has a can but no SLP (yet), wondering if the extra couple ponies you've got would make much difference with how clutching is set up? I suppose 2.6 to 3 track length would help my track speed. I'm gonna give them a call...thanks for the video's!!!

2 grams more per arm than stock pipe.

Otherwise clutching is the same.

Tree riding for reference.

how does the a2d clutch kit perform at the trail? i ride trail sometimes to get to my spots. I 2 want a snappier shift in the technical riding but dont wanna make it to a on and off throttle machine at trail with high rpms.

The engagement is higher yes, but the clutches backshift quick enough that a smooth thumb will keep you cruising right along.

Stock clutching with light weights will be revvy without trackspeed On the trail.
Not the case with a2d clutching. Trackspeed closely follows your thumb.

And as a side benefit you can wax a stocker in a drag race. :)

I have the a2d clutch kit for sale if any one in b.c. or Alberta wants it. Message me.

Ive noticed that the engine seems like its really snappy, like it likes to rev really quick but it doesn't translate into trackspeed. I feel like it should want to pull the bars out of your hands when you punch it but it seems to just rev.

Ill sell my kit as well, total waste of money, best setup i tried is all stock with 71 grm slp weights empty, best backshift, upshift and trax speed,. I did try goldstar weights loaded at 2221, loved the hard pull but backshift suffered, and wasnt willing to get a stiffer sec spring

On your own sled?
I guess I didn't see when you rode my sled?

When i ride on setup snow it yanks your arms off.

In dry fluff a little less so.
Most of those videos are filmed at -10 degrees F.

Hmm- what elevation are you riding?
It's a Pricey kit (for us in Canada) but looks like it is working for others????

hm, im not getting any response from a2d on my mail and now unhappy customers on axys. Perhaps il go with the 71g mtx weights and their 160/340 spring from slp.

only concern is that spring will bring a bit to high engagement drive.

I didnt call due to the timediffrence and the fact like a 30min call would cost me between 50-100 $ :/

I am more curious what is in this kit since there are no spec on the site, aswell why 2 members arent satisfied here.

riding from 500-4000'
Sled is stock other than balanced clutches and adjusted TPS
Running Indy Specialties adjustable weights w/ gold spring.
Pulls 70g no problem.
Nice thing about these weights is you can adjust the shift.
Started with 4-2-1-2, pulled like a freight train. VERY aggressive, almost too aggressive. Coming off shoulder injuries so I was out of shape.
Backed it down to 3-2-2-1 to mellow it out a bit, still pulls very hard but less tiring to ride all day.

Backshift is great with either setup.

His weights are designed to run with the gold spring so I haven't tried the black yet.

A2D's kit consists of:

Primary Spring
Secondary Spring
Helix
Derlin Washers
Adjustable weights

He spends a lot of time actually testing his kits until they work... He uses them on his own sled. Now his testing is done in Alaska in lower elevation.

Im a flatlander most times since i live by the sea.
your talking about the v3 or v5?

ive sent a request to dan, i would love to balance the clutch, but the shipping cost and time would eat me alive.

in the end there are so many kit out there and all are going there on way.

slp with just a harder spring and aggressive weights.
bmp with a new helix and all that comes with it.
a2d the same as bmp
indy dan im not sure of yet since the site doesnt tell much.
