Loudest can for D7?

MBRP is always nice and loud on the poos. Sno stuff is pretty loud too. Gotta love loud pipes and listening to all the trail hoppers whine about the noise " waaah youll close our groomed trail, wahhh, seriously..STFU Cans are about weight loss and sound. If you buy a can to add real hp youre an idiot.

If you guys want quiet, get a set of cross country skis.[/QUOTE]

Hell yea, thats what I am talkin about.

But I think you might want to get your flame suit on, cause you know you just stirred a huge pot of you know what...

HAHAHA No joke..... i personally build a little straight pipe from my pipe to the belly, i dont know why, i mean i usually get a headache, but i probably do it mostly to piss off old guys and the guys who just have to bitc# about everything

oh yeah, and since most of the people ive ever riden with have loud a$$ sleds, im not to worried about your theories of areas being closed.... its going to take alot more than sound level to wipe out snowmobiles.... everyone thinks that since they did it in yellowstone they'll do it everywhere, but no chit, its a national park.. whoever decided to ride their sled there in the first place had to have some BIG Cahonayz :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;

Ya the narrator was my dad, he is pretty funny sometimes, especially when you are as good of a rider as he is. We almost got caught in a white out way back where no one else even tried to go, it got kinda scary because we kept getting stuck and couldn't get out. We were so tired and just wanted to get off the damn mountain. Pics and vids don't even do that justice, it was like that for about a 1/4 mile. Too bad he didn't record the second part, that is when I went "faster" haha.

Is it painful to be that stupid??
It's people like you that have caused the FS to start testing for sound levels. It's morons that think loud is cool that get areas closed down. If you think otherwise, do us all a favour and GROW UP!
Hopefully before you get everything shut down.

MY god man, you are clueless as to how it works.
The greenies get a judgment in their favour about sleds being too loud, it doesn't matter where it is, all they need is the judgement.

Once they have that, they can use it EVERYWHERE to get places shut down.
In case you haven't noticed, we are locked out of over 70% of all state and federal land. So you go ahead and run your "I am so cool, my sled is louder than your" and when they shut your but out of your favourite riding area you can look in the mirror and see who caused it.

So I have asked this before and didnt get an answer, so I will try again.

Why does it matter that someone in ALASKA has a loud sled affect your riding ares about 2000 miles away??

Its actually morons like yourself that think its ok to run a sled period and then fire at a guy for a loud can closing riding areas? The sled you ride, emits smoke, burns fuel, has a giant track that "tears up the terrain", plus the truck you haul with uses tons more gas than say, a beetle. So do I go around saying you are supporting terrorism by driving a gas guzzling truck? What about your quiet sled that still ruins the grass and pollutes the air? Seriously dude, the only growing up needing to be done is by yourself my friend. A good first step would be not sticking your unwanted opinion in a thread where it doesnt belong....Maybe you oughta venture out of your back yard and do some real riding in the backcountry and you might be able to get away with feeling cool on something other than snowest, haha I feel sorry for you if you have to come on here and act like a pocket protector toting forest ranger to keep your "riding areas" open. Moron

It doesn't matter that your in Alaska. The greenies will say your where ever! And the other morons in this thread are in Idaho and Washington! What part of 70% don't you get? Are you f***ing mentally challenged or just stupid?
From your last post, I understand. Your only 12. Its ok. Better get of the computer before daddy catches you!

I have the high flow version of the HPS can on my D7 and it is very loud at wide open throttle. It is quite a bit lighter than the slp and a lot louder. There are 2 versions to this can, I think the high flow version is too loud for me, if anyone is interested in trading their standard version for my high flow version let me know. It has under 100 miles on it and looks brand new. Or I might just sell the thing, anyone want to trade?

Edit: Here I uploaded a video from last weekend on how it sounds. None of this was WOT though, which is quite a bit louder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdiQTVum8Zk

Less time worrying about how it sounds and more time practicing how to sidehill:D Had a lot of room above you to allow for an exit strategy:eek:

HPS on My 07 Dragon. Sounds awsome. Love It!!!!!!!!!

Sure get tired of reading threads where someone asks for advise and here come all the critical Jack Azzes. Snowest is becoming less desirable these days. Oh yeah, I too drive a jacked up diesel belcher and have a loud pipe.
Oh NO. There goes the Ozone.

All I did was ask a simple question, do you really feel that was neccesary, do feel better now. I bet you feel like a real tuff guy now. Thats fine you can think what you want. It dont bother me how you feel or what you may think of me.

OH crap I guess I better get off the computer before my daddy catches me

I didn't post the vid to demonstrate any type of skill, and I am not worrying about how loud it is. If you even read what I said, I do not like how loud it is. Yes I could have gone a little higher, but the higher you went the steeper and softer it got. I was trying to keep the speed down so if something did happen I wouldn't be pitched down into the trees. I was simply answering a question about the topic. I am sorry my video was lame to you.

Sno-Stuff Rumble Pack - This thing is AWESOME!

I love this thing!

This vid shows it on a 600, but it sounds even better on my 800!:D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGlPHP9WTB8

EDIT: Also, I KNOW that this thing added more than a few HP, I was pulling wheelies all day long and jumping WAY higher than I did b4 I switched to it!!! Not lieing - my arms were sore from hanging on so much harder. Weight loss - I didn't weigh my stock one and it on a scale, but I would say probably AT LEAST 5 lbs, and I am thinking that is conservative!

I am going to laugh my arse off when all the "I love super loud" start getting the 500 dollar tickets from the FS, BLM and state managers. It doesn't matter where you are. I don't care if you are 300 miles from a town, they are going to be running portable sound testers.

This is as much a done deal as it gets, and we have the likes of you to thank.

So by all means. Run the super loud pipes. It's your money, give to the government all you want at 500 dollars a shot. Oh, and when you get the ticket, your sled is shut down right there and then. Be fun watching your super sled being towed out.

i love desk...I love.........

just buy the hps...sounds great...and not race track loud.

WoW. Thanks for opening my eyes. I'm going to my dealer right away and snow check a 2009 550 fan cooled. Maybe hug a tree on the way. Dip chit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i ever get a ticket for having my sled/truck to loud....I will happily pay up, simple as that. Im a big stinker for having my toys loud, if its gotta sound good to me.

NO, i will not get a ticket. :)

Whos gonna come up here and tell everyone up here, that our sleds are too loud?

This argument will never end!

I've got the HPS on my 07 Dragon, and the "thing" on my 08 M8, Both sound nice and throaty when on the gas, not obnoxious though;)

Yellowstone to Yukon

Snowlands Online form to fill out if snowmobiles detracted from someone's experience.
Report excessive noise, impacts to wildlife, damage to public property, safety concerns or motorized trespass into areas designated as Wilderness or closed to motorized vehicles. If your recreation experience was adversely impacted, that is “user conflict.” You need not be run over! You need not have even seen a snowmobile. Damage to Nordic-trails or finding snowmobile tracks in the Wilderness can be conflict.

Winter Wildlands These folks have some big money behind them, and are all about "solitude". Coming soon to a place near you (if they aren't already there)

I could post lots more, but what's the point. Some of you won't get it until your favorite riding area is under attack.

And I agree with Ollie......Loud Sucks! I LMAO every time I hear someone with an annoyingly loud sled. Makes me think that they want it loud so people will think they are big and bad (Poser), when in reality, the noise is just that, noise. Loud doesn't make you a better rider, nor make anyone think you are a good rider. Let your riding speak for itself.

When you annoy other snowmobilers with your LOUD sled, let alone other outdoor recreationists, maybe you should really think about it.

Others views on LOUD sleds (SW)
