saw spike there too... had the whole place to our selfs, it was a great day i got some pics of spike too, too bad i was on a loaner sled 08 800xp was good,broke a ring on my piston yesterday as soon as we got off the trail,
had to get towed back got it torn apart and getting new pitions tomorrow, the funny thing is 1000 miles ago the sled shed put spi pistions in there and when i took it out they were one ring stockers oh well if you want it done right gota do it your self.... hey spike it was fun riding with you all got to do it again soon

Correct. I have stayed there several times. A great time always. Just make sure when you make reservatons and they ask you how many are spending the night LIE TO THEM!!! We once had 20 some bodies in there and told them that. They informed us that the max capacity is 6 people and refused to rent it to me....so of course I called right back and got a different operator and answered the questions....correctly....

whats the weather report for lost lake for a christmas ride.
Rained all day in Seward yesterday but no one has gone up to see if it snowed on top. I'm trying to decide if I want to go to LL or Turny today.
Continued rain on the streets down here

Rode lost lake yesterday primrose dam dumpy snowing and blowing flat light till about mid day then it lifted alittle so you could see pretty good , looked like about a foot of new snow, turned out to be a good ride! just looked a sewards weather it showed clear and 32 and if that is true should be great riding!camera battery went dead so only got a few pics.
I would like to try Lost Lake on Sat or Sunday if anyone is heading that way! I've never been there so I need a group to follow or a riding partner. Have my own truck/trailer.
Take meeee, take meeee!!!!! I can either ride with you, or take my truck if Rick or your son wants to go. I have been there before, but if the weather is too sh*tty and we can't see the tips of the skis (been there done that at LL), then I would be lost.... But I only want to go for couple of days, it's too far to drive.... I can also do Friday-Sat-Sun if anybody is interested.....
I think it's closer to LL then P'ville for me (S. Anc). Not sure what the lodging options are in Seward. Anyone ever stay at the Army/AF rec camp cabins in the winter?

I am guessing that lone tree in the last photo is magnetic? Exactly why I always pack a saw, I have personally been attracted to a number of magnetic trees while riding on the Kenai. LMAO!

I've stayed at the military rec camp a few times and they are really nice for more family oriented outings if ya get one of the townhouses... but I actually prefer the good old Breeze Inn ~ the winter rate is $50/night and some of the rooms have two double beds and a single ~ if ya don't mind getting REAL cozy, you actually can sleep 5

Just got back;
Primrose trail sux as usual but not completely blown out....yet
Snow was nice, on the wet side, but nice. Anywhere from 8"-18" fresh, and snowing when we left.
Visibility started okay but worsened through out the day.
Nothing significant broke;
