Lost Camera in Muddy Creek Lot

Hey Everyone~

I know it's a long shot, but I am pretty sure I had my camera laying on the back of my sled when I ran it out of my trailer this Saturday (1/22/11) up in the Muddy Creek lot. I never saw the camera again now that I think about it...so pretty sure it is laying underneath all the snow that came down that day.

We were parked on the West side of the little road into the lot (assuming that road runs north and south there) right where you make the last left hand corner that brings you into the actual lot.

If by chance anyone finds it, please let me know

I have a feeling it is buried beneath about 2 feet of snow by now though

I think an emergency recon to the scene may be in order!


Under two feet of fresh you say...I will criss cross the mountain if I must, maybe it hung on and fell off somewhere in the trees. No worries...I will check there too.

Bummer Ryan! If somebody didn't snag it, my bet is that CDOT has pushed it deep into the snow banks. I can keep my eye out for it as the snow melts later this summer. Maybe it will still be alive.

just think of all the crap they find in that lot in the spring time.

i worked at a ski area in college, we would find enough lighters to last a year under the lifts. boots, skiis, flasks, all kinds of crap left on the roof when they drive away...

A little more information about the camera to help someone out if they might have found one that day...

I believe my camera was a Cannon and it was inside of a little black case. The case had a lanyard (like a neck strap that resembles a show lace really) attached to it. Inside the black case was an extra memory card and the Cannon camera.

I believe it either fell off my sled right at the corner of the lot there or on the trail as we began heading West out of the lot on the trail that is beat to crap through the trees there

Ya, I never saw me take it out of the trailer either...therein lies the problem

Uh...so, my lovely fiance tells me last night that she does remember seeing something black fly off my snowmobile right where the trail starts to go through the trees there out of the Muddy Creek lot...she just forgot to tell me until last night tho

Anyway, it sounds like snomogirl might have my camera in her possession

Minor details.... You know it was so white out and something black falls off your sled. Must not have been important if it flew off that easily.

Glad someone found it. Now if she checks the memory cards will you be ?

Weird thing is that it fell off my sled on the way BACK to the trailer once we already went about a mile and turned around to get you (because you were literally stuck in the parking lot).

That means the camera laid on the back of my sled for about 1-2 miles in 2 feet of fresh snow and finally fell off right before we popped back down into the parking lot to help you out...

Strange, very strange...

I just hope I can get the camera back

Story I heard is he was nervous about the whole "in the same bed" thing so he stayed awake all night looking for used sleds on his iphone while keeping an eye on his sleeping partner.

Oh, and by the way, it wasn't me that was stuck next to the parking lot. I just own that sled and had to help get it unstuck or suffer the consequences.
