looks like Tog. is in the line if fire!

Cost is ridiculously steep

not to bash, just looking for another, less expensive alternative. We will have 12 in our group and if they aren't willing to be more reasonable, I am sure we could find an alternative. Just looking for it now.
Sucks, need to travel this far. Utah has limited snow.

Considering Cooke City, MT is more remote and about half the cost, I don't see the reason for the expense.
Thx

Try Crooked Creek Guest Ranch just outside Dubois, WY on Union Pass Road. They are just down the trail from Togwotee on the CD trail, but they are WAY cheaper! Snow's good there and they have all the accommodations.....individual log cabins, full bar/restaurant, sled rental (new 2012 SkiDoo Summit 600 & 800 Etecs), 24 hour fuel, quick access to the CD trail at 8400'. No need to trailer anywhere just to get a good lodging rate. Call them at 888-238-2647 or check out their web-site and webcam at www.crookedcreekguestranch.com. You won't be disappointed!

Heard Alpine has some snow, not like Tog though?

I heard Alpine has some good snow, just not like Tog does. Plus, I made plans with a friend, I am not going be a fair-weather fan, back-out on him. I believe there are some riders going to Alpine for Monday though.

I believe HarrySmith has a cabin in the same location?

Cindy,
Thanks for the heads up. We have a good group of folks going up. Should be a great time. Thanks again for the G2 on the other lodge.

Just head to alpine with me sometime I have a cabin;)

You could always stay at Lava mtn lodge also. Food, fuel, etc. good people!

You need to call Mary!!! She will hook you up with a home to rent "Cheap".. 307/455/3735.. Last few times we stayed right on the highway with 12 guys..Dont quote me but i think it is $300 per night.. Not bad for sleeping 12..

$536, for the hotel, two per room! = $270.00 for 3nights each!

I "wouldn't bitch" about $45 either. The other 9 folks have already booked their cabins..$90 per night/each. Again, looking for some alternatives.
Thank you

I got some prices on staying at TML, $536!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for three nights accomodations???? QUOTE]

$45 bucks apiece per night?? I wouldn't bitch about that or is there more to the story??????????

If you want cheap rooms and a long drive stay at Dubois or Jackson. The sawmill and crooked creek is a long way from the good spots IMO. Togwotee is in a prime spot and you have to pay to stay. I've stayed all over the CD in the last 15 years, but TML in the best spot.

So is this storm happening, pick up any snow yet? Looking for somewhere to go worth driving 12hrs + for. Any advice appreciated.

The Long Horn Ranch in Dubois is doing SW discounts again this year. $50 a night and the place is great!! The staff will do anything you need to help make the stay better. They have one cabin that is equiped with stove, utinsles(sp), shower and numerous other rooms.

Did Tog get hit with this last storm. Thinking about a road trip Thurs if they have snow, if not Cooke it is.
