LOOKS LIKE SOME INTERNAL PARTS HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR 2017

I agree...for the $13000 that is charged... the wiring harness, gauge, flexibility (strand count) and use of better connectors in ALL of the harness should be improved... has been and continues to be a weak spot.

When engineers and bean counters discuss things... I'll bet it gets heated.

Ski Doo wiring is head and shoulders better than Polaris !!.

What vendor makes Skidoo's harness?

Honeywell makes Polaris' in China. Which is not necessarily a bad thing if they (Polaris) prefaced the bid submittal with adequate specifications to thwart out the bargain basement reject connectors, wire quality, and crappy looming that has unfortunately become standard for the Polaris' harness and component quality.

The sad part is they charge as if it top shelf quality when the fact is, it is the polar opposite of quality. It is of minimal quality, just enough so to complete the job it needs to do until the warranty has expired for the majority of consumers.

Truly sad when the bean counters and the wall street dividends cause a business to make these kinds of decisions to please non-consumers / non users of the product.

A good one :face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-sho.

Thanks smart azz!

In reality; I think it has far less to do with the actual vendor and more to do with the Manufacturer (Polaris or SkiDoo in this example) providing adequate specifications so the vendor can not cut corners to increase their profit margin and screw the consumer in the process.

Although a good vendor will try and balance quality and profit as their reputation is at stake.

I'm a quality guy by nature and it irks me to see others selling junk just to make a quick buck at the consumers expense.

I doubt there will be until somone tears one down and compares a crank side by side 17/16.

sled changes

anyone notice any other changes? so far we know the 17 has a new part number of coolant hose, piston and rings, crankshaft, computer map and have notice some extra clips on the front of the nose pan to avoid plastic breaking where it screws to the bumper

What actually needed to be fixed in 2017 models...

Track wearing issues... clip every window from factory. I'll take the extra 1 pound to have a durable track.
Customers receiving sleds with visible corrosion in every electrical connector. This is a joke.. fix this. Find a way to keep the water out of the electrical system.
When a customer has a warranty claim don't spend a month and a half thinking about if it's warranty or not because winter is only 4-5 months. Even the best dealers struggle with polaris inability to make a decision on warranty even on things that are obvious.
I'm not a Polaris hater by any means, I think they produce the best out of the box mountain sled. Would have told them this myself when they called me for my telephone survey except they hung up on me after the third question.

This and...
Coolant line rubbing on lower engine block. Mine was worn through the inner cords in about 150 miles and warranty was a battle. I was shocked that this was an issue. Problem seemed random on different sleds. Plus the speedometer was reading about half speed (topped out at about 35 mph). Required a reflash. No teather, a $10 item. They seem to do well with the "big" items but fail miserably on the smaller details which kills it overall. Just look at the 2016 RZR issues.
