Looking for some help

I heat my house primarly with wood and am having trouble rounding up any help to gather any this year. That would not be such a big deal if I had not just received a $1500 a month pay cut because Uncle Sam decided to terminate my disability income. I cannot afford to my home with gas as it would be over $300 a month. Snowmobiling like everyone else here is a passion for me but if I do not get fire wood put up I will not ride this year and will most likely end up selling the sleds to pay bills. Could any of you please get together with me I need to put up somewhere between 8 and 10 cord to make it through a normal winter.

Thank you for your help

Scott

If I was a little closer or even in the same country I would get over there to give you a hand,I am positive there are people that are closer that will help you out.

Perhaps we can send beer money to help motivate people?

Or whatever it is people drink out there.

Scott, when and where do you go? Do you have a way to haul the wood? I might be able to get away this week, depending on where? Steve

I have a truck but anyone with a trailer is welcome. We are gonna go in Sept after I finish school on a Sat. Not sure which day yet but will let you know.

Thanks.

Scott

Are you just trying to get logs to your place for now? As in 8 to 10' lengths?

That wood work, would prefer bucked into 2 - 3 ft lengths. Just don't want my wife to have to use the chainsaw anymore than she has to. Looking for spruce, lodge pole or doug fir.

Waiting to hear from RMKED on when he can go and put together a trip.

Thanks

Well I have a couple trailer loads of 8 to 10' already cut for my own Winter but if you want it I will just cut more. I'll make Marc help me load it:face-icon-small-win if you can get a trailer to my cabin.

Looks like Sept the 8th, will get a time ad place to meet out as soon as I know more. We will be heading towards Soapstone.

How big of a trailer do I need and when can we load it.

I think an open 2 place would work fine as long as you have straps.
I have an 8' pile with about 20 logs you can drive right next to and we can load it for you. Let me know when you leave Heber on Sat. and I'll just meet you at the lodge and guide you in. 4:30 is best for me.

Might not be a Winters worth but a good easy start for you:-)

Ron, you rock. Do you think I can get in there with a longer trailer, the one I have access to is 16 ft? Also how long do you think the drive will be over mirror lake highway?

Scott

OK guys, so Sept 8th trying to meat in Kamas about 9 or 9:30 which ever is best. The location will be determined later. The destination is up mirror lake highway to a nise stand of trees right next to the highway.

I need to know who is going to show so we can make plans. Anybody that helps will get fed at my house after.

Thanks to all,

Scott
