Today my sled got a little hot. I found an air leak on the carb boot. I know I had some detonation going on and lucky I didn't burn down. I hit some pretty high egts, alarmingly high. Pulled plugs and they were pretty lean. Piston domes didn't seem to have any pitting, wash showed lean also. Are there long term effects to the engine after detonation? It ran great the rest of the day, wondering if I am on borrowed time with the internals.
