Lonely on the Flattops

Son and I rode the east side of the Flattops Friday till 6 PM. About wore the sleds and us out. Great riding and not one other sled up there. Rode up to the Top of Blair Mountain for lunch. There were 3 sleds riding the west side of the Flattops, never did see them, probably came up from West Elk. Snow has not even started to melt up there. Guessing by how deep the snow was on the private cabin and outhouse at White Owl Lake, looks like 8 to 12 feet on the level there. A lot of snow to melt in the high country, get out the sandbags.

We were up Coffee Pot with a group of 5 sleds today and rode to White Owl, Deep Lake, Heart Lake and in to Budges lodge. Great day, great snow and weather for sure!
