Lone Butte / Flat Top

Rode out of Lone Butte on 2/2/18. Maybe a foot of packed snow on the 30 Road. Enough to ride without any bare or gravel. At the time plenty of running water in the ditches. The depth increased drastically at the Berry Fields.

We Need Snow!

My wife and I rode today out of flattop. Conditions are worse than we expected. We left the snow park about 9am and rode about 3/4 mile worth of mixed snow/gravel and rocks to get to the snow line (not looking forward to seeing the bottom of our skis). We rode around the Berry fields as it does have snow, but I would be careful getting off trail...trees and rocks starting to show in areas. Trails were nice and groomed so that was a plus today. Got back to the park about 3 and there was noticably less snow than the AM (was told it was 61 degrees in Trout Lake today!). Thinking about riding over at snow king tomm, so we drove over to that side this afternoon and was surprised that the snow park had no snow and the road looked equally as bad with mostly bare spots down to gravel. Hoping for more snow as (I think) the poker run out of flattop is this weekend? All in all, we need snow! Hope this helps.
