loader operator

just a loader?

reason I ask is casue if all you know is a loader, your gonna prob. be in a line for a quarry job or something along those lines. If your good with a Dozer, Excavator etc. etc. then you prob. would find a job pretty quick making 20+/hr I would think..

Same 980 Cat???

Depends if you can do it all large and small loaders, dozers, CDL, shovel at times and like to do so then 20+hr is about on par with your years of experience.

Guys that only do one thing like a pit or something I'm sure you can get 20 but your very limmited on were you can look.

Wages for equipment operating vary wildly from state to state. A 980 operator in the Midwest may only pull in $10 to $14/hr. Moving west to a state with strong union representation such as Nevada or California, a prevailing wage 980 operator will pull in somewhere between $24 and $28/hr plus approximately a $7/hr benefit package. If you can get established with a union contractor and actually work instead of simply "logging time" you can make a pretty decent living in the right area.

I don't get it

if you have 15 years experience then you should know what wages are. also is a frontendloader all you have experience with. Equiptment operators around these parts have NO problem finding work. anywheres from $18 to $25 an hour here.

Good point Spud. And like said a few times in these parts we look for guys that can do almost anything with a smile on there face.

Hey mag, do you do all D-B?

No but operators I really want to come back I pay well. Starting pay is generally $28.25 but if the person show's some motivation and promise I bump em right up to full scale

Kids always come first! I hired a guy from SW as a mechanic, it's hard to find good help and the union is always short on qualified personel.

for Montana, ourselves are seeing $19-$26 as we speak. Go to Wyoming and you can find $35+hr

it was fun too!!!!! my one foreman locked out the fourth gear on my loader though, said i was going too fast and was gonna get hurt, plus the other guy couldn't run it that fast. so we just had to move the crusher more often!!!!! i worked on a double crusher for several years!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be damned I used to love feeding the crusher, just hit cruise and let her fly. My crushers now only run 500 tons per hr, can't get the material thru fast enough!!
