Little Truckee Summit Snow Conditions Live

How are the conditions? Was not sure if it was snow or rain with all of this that has been hitting. Have not been up since the 3rd. Was nice that day but warm since and not sure if this last batch was any good there or not, just been raining in Reno. Let me know as I would like to head up this weekend if it is nice and thinking about taking some time off next week to ride too.

Looks like about 6 inches of fresh on top of the pack. Gone for a week, plan to check it out today. Heard riding at Castle Peak was great with 12 inches of new snow. New snow on the way is just we need. Grooming has made the road to the high country good.

Snow

Had a great day riding on Sat. before the storm. Today has been a whiteout all day. Looking at 20 plus inches and still dumping. If this is and indication for the week to follow can you imagine the pow by the weekend. We needed this. Sierra Smasher where's the pics of Sat?

snow

Looks like we have had at another 12 inches in the last 24 hours. Almost 2 1/2 to 3 feet total since sunday. Elevation 7000 feet. With this and more on the way riding will be awesome.

Snorkel time

It's getting deep out there. What a storm here at 7000 feet. I think we've had at least 20 inches in the last 24 hours. A white out most of the day. Got the sled out today and the snow was over the hood awesome. It's still coming down.

Where do you park to ride from?

If you are coming from out of state? Sounds like you guys are getting what we all need. any information is appreciated.

thanks
KW

Livin the dream

5 feet of fresh powder out the back door. 07 road was groomed to Meadow Lake turn off yesterday. Lots of awesome riding out there. Went out riding yesterday during a bread in the storm. Got about another 8 inches last night. See a little blue sky out today. Time to ride

Hey Track Man what's the latest up there? Have you been up to or past meadow lake? Real time snow data from cdec survey station is all screwed up but it lists 24 in. water so maybe 10 ft based on water content now at ML. What about White Rock????Come on "Live report"!!!!

snowed all day on sunday. trails were freshly groomed. deep and fun!

once thing i noticed down lower was the snow was just deep enough to cover fence posts and signs... and people were hitting them left and right... keep an eye out for those... :face-icon-small-sho

back on line

Beautiful day, sparkling snow. Have been at work. I would love to go riding, but the wife is out of commision. Broken wrist. The snow is deep at higher elavations. It looks firmed up, go anywhere snow. Hope to be out tomorrow. Is anyone riding out this way?

hey just noticed your avatar is the jeep on trax. Are you neighbors with budwiser bill and the bluths?

Yes we are right past Bill"s. It's the house on Coppins Meadow. The Jeep has been great for the groceries, but Corona is my brand. Light is flat today, so looks like a awsome weekend.

Rode up your way yesterday. Went over Lola(fresh avy) to Whiterock. Played off the boulders/cliffs just east....lots of stucks.

Went to Warren via the westerly route. The ridges are windblown and hard, but it's a pow fest on any of the north slopes. Couldn't make it into Devils from Warren.

Lots of avy activity signs just poking out under the fresh snow cover. The cornice above Whiterock is huge.
