Lines that may get your wife to "OK" that need sled purchase.

My wife agreed to my purchases when she said "I do."

This one only works in theroy... don't ask me how I know that.

"If Moma aint Happy then NOBODY'S Happy!" No 'truer' words have EVER been spoken.

The trick is to get her to think that buying a new sled is HER idea. So getting her interested in riding helps.

"Honey, we never get to spend time together when it's just 'us' anymore. If we could just do something together more often I think we'd be a lot happier. It's too bad we only have one snowmobile, otherwise riding together would be a great 'escape' for just 'us'...."

Something like that! :face-icon-small-hap

Yep, if you want a new toy now and then you gotta get her into the sport too. Sarah (the wife) is taking the year off as she is expecting(due) May 7th with our first little Sledneck. I truly believe she jinxed all of us in Colorado this year. She gets knocked up and no more snow, at all. We are kicking around the idea of snow checking a new sled this Spring (Polaris 800pro) as it is "her turn" for a new toy, but we might be holding off with a new arrival (not a sled, mind you) this Spring.

I just put a new top end on her RMK700 2008 just to be safe, so we are probably good anyhow for a couple of more seasons.

Ride from last week (trail) up North of Granby to stay at the Vagabond Ranch, so the little gal or guy has been on its first ride already...

She's got a bit of a belly already

congratulations! Is it yours?

Hmm

I see it this way......

2012 PRO 8 163........MINE
2012 PRO 8 155........MINE TOO, but she gets to use it.

I think the soft approach works better.
Now I have 7 sleds/fourwheelers, 2 trailers, a camper, two diesel trucks and now 2 of my friends are using the approach - so far they are on two new sleds. Now we are working... I mean remaining hopeful our lovely wives will OK the 3 new sleds we are thinking we may need next season. I may have to sell a couple of the used ones.
I mean your wives have learned what makes their husbands tic when they 'need' something.

haha aren't you suggesting the hard approach then? ;)

Talking to my wife about the purchase is all that was needed. She was happy to go with me to pick out the sled and to pay for it. Also she bought me all new riding gear, I love my wife!

Then the alarm goes off, no new sled or gear.

What a great dream!! :nono:

I found my current sled on here, 1 year old and 327 miles. I got excited about it and she asked if that was the one I wanted. I told her I thought it was so she said I better go get it while he still had it. I didn't ask twice if she was serious, I made arrangements and went to get it. Nothing like dragging home a new buggy in July.

how about, "honey i just bought you a new car"

getting her into the sport, ugh!!! i'm soooooooo glad my wife doesn't ride anymore:)

i did this and i didnt get a damn sled... what gives. Ha credit cards here i come thats how America gets by.

I used the either I am buying this sled or your finding a new place to live and wow she found a room in her parents basement two states away and didnt even come back for the divorce. but I love my new sled more then I loved her anyway.

I would put my junk in a blender before I spewed that out of my mouth.

I usually don't ask. If I think we can afford it I go get it.

"I would put my junk in a blender before I spewed that out of my mouth." - that was good comeback.
Of course I'm thinking of the new pro I'm getting when I say that. I'm not sure it's worth getting the junk pureed, but that was one funny response all the same :face-icon-small-sho
