Light weight helmets?

W

wildcard

RIP Brian
I have been looking on line and have not been finding much. Whats out there for very light weight legal helmets? Any comments good or bad on what you have is also welcome.
I suffered a neck injury last year and am still down from it but am tired of not being able to use my toys.

I have had good luck w/ shoei and Thor. Good helmets, lightweight can be kind of expensive, but it is just your head. some companies seem to make a cheap and expensive grade, but the light helmets seem to cost big $
also i have seen some guys use the light snowboard helmets, but once they have tacken a hit you need to replace them, they are very light.

try the bmx race helmets..also try troy lee designs..he makes some light motocross helmets..also try jetski helmets...

Yep those are the ones I would like to try on, nice hawkshot
I just have never seen those in any shops around here to try on. Guess I go to the wron places

Fly Lite II carbon/kevlar for around $200 on sale. Light as a feather and looks sweet. Oh yeah, DOT and Snell too.

Old Forum

On the old forum there was thread about lightweight helmets and ones from Fox Racing that were kevlar and carbon fiber. There was a link posted to a website selling last years model for $140 or so. Does anyone remember that website or post?

here's the Do Rock. Race approved, very light, and keeps your money in the SLED industry.

i've got the thor carbon fiber, and absolutley love it!!!!!!!!!!! super light weight!! my neck feels MUCH better after a hard weekend on the sled!!!!!

FLY LITE under 3 pounds and under $100. There are different ones I II III and IV I think the older numbers are older models.

I was looking for the Do Rock helmet on the tobe website and I couldn't find it. Do you have more info on this helmet? I like the idea of built in speakers in the helmet.

Fly Lite is my choice, nice helmets, downside is the paint seems to not last, wants to flake and peel.

id go with TOBE there helmets look sick...the giro helmets above arent DOT apoved there just mountain biking helmets haha i have a giro remedy there light but not approved.

The web guys in sweden haven't put up any of the fall 08 stuff yet. Sorry about that. What else would you like to know about it? I am happy to help!
