Lets see your toolbox

I believe the term your looking for is "Tool Snob".

???

.

Yeah - I would say so.

You not?

You prolly fit the tool whore bill as well, but I think from your last post that you were also saying that all those toys that your whoring are better than some others - making you a snob. ???

Not saying that I dissagree with you... I have lots of Mac and Snap-On stuff. I'm not 100% sure I would say that I am a snob about it as I have some lesser known name brands as well. But they are all good Yankee tools. I have seen too many "lifetime guarantee" tools that aint werth a broke ____ - no-matter how many time they replace it - you still have a rounded off nut sitting alongside the hwy, in the rain...

A good tool doesn't need a warranty. But I have a 1/2 drive rat**** looking for a Mac truck yet aggin.... (I'm sure it's demise was some length of 3/4" EMT somewhere. :face-icon-small-win

edit:

rat**** ??? I kant believe that was blocked like that! :face-icon-small-con

nah.. being a tool snob is a lot like a lot of things, you just perfer top shelf stuff.. and with tools, aint a bad thing, I have a lot of cheap tools(im in college) and its nice to come home and get to use the better stuff my dad has, good tools to a better job, But I like my crap stuff, good to take sledding!!

One thing is for sure, seeing all these tool boxs, nice and neat and large. That you guys have way more machanical ability than I do. I would post my pic's of my tool box, but there is no need for you guys to see a small tackel box with a crecent wrench and a pair of pliers, and some duct tape. LOL.

hey you stole my box. I want it back...and I know there was half a roll of tape in there and it was ripped so there was the long skinny strip!

All I got is my carpentry box for the basics and a small small craftsman box with my screwdrivers and wrenches. that and a couple socket sets. Sorry I'm a Craftsman guy since I don't wrench all the time.

Hmmmmmmm..... looks like Mr. Ox decided to edit his post after my reply, totally changing the context of everything.

What ever.

Yeah.... I have some cheaper stuff too that I carry around in my truck, etc.... but the bottom line is that I choose to buy the best that I can afford so that I can do the best possible job.

My customers most certainly appreciate that line of thinking.

And I enjoy the job that much more.

I can think of countless stories where the right tool or test equipment has made the difference between a miserable job and a quick and professional one.

Back for more abuse..... :p

Had a new addition to the family.

Might have to call it MiniMe. Good for holding books and phones and misc. small stuff. It's a 1/2 scale version.
