Got it out on the snow today just to test. It works great. Now time for aluminum side plates and powdercoating!

finally got my kit 90% done, it has been apart and back about 6 times since September, I think it is pretty close to being done, still have to figure a way to limit motion of the skid, (kind of) and make a snow flap/bumper similar to a hawk.

the video is narrated by my son from the living room window, he is 2 lol. The jump is a 50ft table top, not quite clearing it but getting close, maybe this evening I will get it. no editing so dont expect much.

the back half of the kit comes in at 108lbs and the ski assembly is 20lbs, when I really feel confident in the design the next one will be chromoly, which will drop the weight to under 100lbs for the back, porting the track may get done soon as well, havent decided tho

ski is custom made
121x1.675x12 track ski doo snowcross track
no shocks in the skid, uses existing bike shock and linkage

let me know what you think!

Great looking skid. Great to see that it can handle some air and once the snow really arrives the powder performance can be tested too. Please start a new thread as this one is just about into paid subscription territory.

I have built a variation of a single shock Polaris skid and am currently looking at building a version that uses a similar swing arm type suspension as have built. I would love to see some more pictures.

Thats what I'd like to build for my Super Enduro, using a 137x16x1.25 track from a renegade and a late 90:s xtra 10 suspension... The MH is great but 50 pounds less would be nice. :-)

The mh is pretty light, i have built 3 different designed kits and they have all came in with in 10 lbs either way of the mh, this kit was 10 under but it wasn't strong enough ended up adding 8lbs

It'll be interesting to see what the 950 can do with a 16"x137"x1-1/4" track, also I "invented" the tMotion last autumn when I was trying to figure out how to make such a wide track driveable on the trail... I bet BRP had their spys out... ;-)

This is all I see:

does anybody have the timbersled kit on a crf 450? or know what how many teeth are on the drivers. i am making a kit and trying to figure out what i want my gear raios.

Mine are 8 tooth drivers and I'm pretty sure that's what the MH has...

Just dropped all my stuff off at viviCoat for some color! Stoked to get this thing all together with some aluminum side plates and color! Won't be long now. Need to start working on another kit that is going on a buddies huse 570!
