Lets see your snowbike projects!!!

go big or go home

hey ski doo in it, need a full report on that bad boy when you get it out in 3ft of new snow, thinking you got a full scale run a way riot on your hands.

thanks guys, im stoked, its a 151x13.5x2" paddle. i had the track and skid so figured why not. im only about $150 and some 20 hours into it so far.

the bearing/shafts/gears/etc is all from surpluscenter.com

Guys, don't be fooled by this little yamaha with the big track. I am sure a propane tank will show up sooner or later!! Actually I bet he allready has plans to mount a Turbo between the frame and the front ski.

Nick, You better get back inside the Box, before you get locked outside.

Nice ride Kid!

Need to put the rear gender back on still. Also thinking about building a little guard over the curve of the track to keep snow from flinging so much up at your back.

ktm 520 mxc kit

Here's one we made for my friend. Got him hooked last year!
Ktm 520 mxc four stroke
136 x 15 x 1.5 track
suspension out of an old xlt polaris but we put coil over instead of torsion springs for rear track spring and workin on coupling block adjustment

subframe 3/4 square tube thinnest wall .083 I think. Stick with 1" guys 3/4 is too small I think itl hold though.

Having to much fun with my mill lathe machine
props to timbersled as this is pretty well a copy

Here's a virtual tour:

Other side of the valley, we got out as well to test the toys out...

151 didnt get to stretch its legs with no base, but hope to get some real riding in soon, the single ski's are a little scary with no base, they kind of skate around on the frozen earth below. 3 weeks of work, 2 snow bikes.

Mr jskattum606 on the #7 honda and my super tanker tow truck on the left.

Here's what I've been working on. M-10 suspension, 121"x2" camoplast, Skidoo Safari Chaincase (cantilever upper shaft), etc... Hopefully not too heavy when finished.

Hey eskimojoe!
That was kind of bad timing didn;t mean to post my own stuff right after u posted you awesome project. That thing looks awesome! What bike will u b running it on? It looks like u have a tsled kit how do u like it for riding in AK? What will you do for a ski? Looks really nice and that m10 looks like a good way to go, was it hard to mod it to fit the narrow tunnel, (getting the upper wheels to the inside it kinda looks like ur running them on the track window / clips?) and such? Keep us posted it looks like you are close! nice!

Alaska Snosquawch

Don't worry about the posting, I just enjoying seeing what other people are working on. I'll be putting it on a 2003 Ktm 525sx. The Timbersled belongs to a friend of mine, he was letting me use it for some inspiration. Neither of us has riden the Timbersled yet, we both have been riding 2moto kits for the past 2 years, and it was time to up grade (hopefully that's what I'm doing). The M-10 was pretty easy to narrow up, just cut down a couple shafts and ditched the outboard rear wheels. The front swing arm didn't even have to be narrowed, just got rid of the weird billet mounting blocks that came with it and you've got a 13" wide swing arm. The rear one needed trimmed and I'm having to run the upper wheels just inboard of the track window/clips, we'll see how that works. It'll take some tuning I'm sure but if it floats better that my 2moto I'll be happy.

Almost finished with my homemade ez ryde inspired skid... I think this will be the first of this kind of design in a snowbike. It seems to be turning out awesome... Should be going for a test ride tomorrow sometime...
